Twenty-Seventh Sunday In Ordinary Time
Lord, increase our faith.
Today is the first Sunday of October, a month the words of the prophet become a loud voice: “How long, O Lord!? I cr y for help but you do not listen! I cr y out to you, violence! But you do not inter vene. Why do you let me see ruin; why must I look at miser y? ” Our modern societ y allows us to oppose human life even before bir th. Violence surrounds us at ever y moment. Violations to human dignit y happen one af ter the other.

Many families are already af fec ted by the violence
hunger, miser y, and oppression exist not because indicted by drug around the world. War, they have to; they exist because of our lack of faith, faith in God, and faith in ourselves. But a stance against violence will lead us to suppor t human dignit y, and will necessarily include a defense of human life, from conception to natural death. The Lord answers Habakkuk anguishes, giving him hope when He promises: “ The rash one has no integrit y; but the just one, because of his faith, will live.”
Today, we are invited to realize that our faith is not contained in the temple, in the statue, not even in the novena, or in the preacher. We cannot deny that all these are useful tools to suppor t our faith; but faith is born, raised, and multiplied each time we open our hear ts to God’s presence in our daily lives. The disciples realized that they would not be able to listen to Jesus’ words without the gif t of faith that only comes from the one who makes ever y thing possible. They knew that it would be only by increasing their faith in Jesus that we would be able to per form our daily duties, and to look at them being transformed into mar velous works of merc y.

en su anuncio, viva cada vez más la sinodalidad y sea un lugar de solidaridad, fraternidad y acogida.
En este primer Domingo del mes de octubre, la Iglesia habla acerca del respeto a la vida, y a la dignidad humana. Es ahora cuando la voz del profeta resuena fuertemente ¿Hasta cuándo? Señor, ¿pediré auxilio sin que Tú me escuches? Clamare: violencia, ¿sin que tú me salves? En esta nuestra sociedad moderna permite el ataque a la vida humana aún antes de nacer. La violencia nos rodea a cada momento, y las violaciones a la dignidad humana suceden una y otra vez.
Muchas familias en el mundo son afectadas Guerra, hambre, miseria, y opresión existen no porque tengan que existir; existen como resultado de nuestra falta de fe, fe en Dios, y en nosotros mismos. Cualquier esfuerzo en contra de la violencia nos llevará invariablemente a defender la dignidad humana, y necesariamente incluirá una defensa incondicional de la vida, desde su concepción, hasta su muerte natural

Hoy la invitación consiste en darnos cuenta que la fe no se haya contenida en el templo, en en el predicador. No podemos negar que todas estas son instrumentos útiles para soportar nuestra fe, pero la verdadera fe nace, crece, y se multiplica cada vez que abrimos nuestros corazones a la presencia de Dios en nuestras vidas. Los discípulos se dieron cuenta que no eran capaces de aprender de Jesús sin el regalo de la fe que viene solo de aquel que todo lo hace posible. Ellos descubrieron que era solo aumentando su fe en Jesús que serían capaces de salir adelante con la misión que el Señor les había encomendado. Pudieron entonces darse cuenta de cómo Él se encargaba de transformar sus imperfectas obras de misericordia en de aquel que sufría.

Thưa Thầy, xin thêm lòng tin cho chúng con
Hôm nay, Chúa Nhật đầu tháng Mười, tháng mà giáo hội kêu gọi tôn trọng sự sống, và những lời kêu gọi khẩn thiết của các tiên tri đã từng vang dội “Cho đến bao giờ, lạy Ðức Chúa, con kêu cứu mà Ngài chẳng đoái nghe, con la lên: “Bạo tàn!” mà Ngài không cứu vớt? Sao Ngài bắt con phải chứng kiến tội ác hoài, tại sao con phải nhìn cảnh khổ đau? Xã hội hiện đại cho phép chống lại sự sống con người ngay trước khi sinh ra. Hiểm nguy vây bủa chúng ta mọi lúc. Những cảnh tàn độc xảy ra chà đạp nhân phẩm con người như sóng xô trùng điệp.
Rất nhiều gia đình đã chịu ảnh hưởng lớn lao, đau đớn bởi nạn buôn người khắp nơi trên thế giới. Chiến tranh, đói kém, khốn cùng, nạn áp bức xảy ra không tự chúng phát sinh, nhưng chúng tồn tại chính vì thiếu vắng lòng tin tưởng vào Chúa, và lòng tin vào chính chúng ta. Những khi chúng ta đứng lên chống lại bạo lực, đồng nghĩa với việc bảo vệ nhân phẩm con người và cũng đồng nghĩa với việc bảo vệ quyền sống của con người, từ lúc vừa thụ thai đến qua đời. Thiên Chúa đã đáp lời tiên tri Habakkuk Thống khổ bằng cách ban cho ông hy vọng khi Ngài đoan hứa “Kẻ phản phúc sẽ không được toàn vẹn, ai chính trực, nhờ lòng tin sẽ được sống. “ Ngày nay, chúng ta được mời gọi để nhận ra rằng Đức tin không lưu trữ trong đền thờ, cũng không ở trong các ảnh tượng, nó cũng không từ các tuần cửu nhật, cũng không phải từ các bài giảng dạy. Không thể phủ nhận những phương thức trên đây là những phương tiện hữu ích để tăng thêm lòng tin cho chúng ta; Nhưng đức tin thật sự được sinh ra, phát triển, lớn lên mỗi khi chúng ta mở lòng ra đón nhận sự hiện diện của Chúa trong đời sống hằng ngày của mình. Các tông đồ đã hình dung được rằng họ không thể nghe được lời của Chúa khi chưa có món quà đức tin chúa ban, Đấng có thể làm được mọi sự. Với sự xác tín rằng chỉ khi đức tin vào chúa Giêsu được tiến triển, chúng ta mới có đủ sức hoàn thành những sứ vụ trong đời sống hằng ngày, và nhất là có thể biến đổi chúng trở nên những hành vi thương xót tuyệt hảo được.
