SUNDAY, OCTOBER 2 @ 12:00 NOON We will vote on our new Board of Director members and elders. Those nominated are: Ryan Ermeling (President), Ed Lamb (Secretary), Jeff Rodemeyer (VP Discipleship), Jack Preus (VP Education), Kristen Haiduk (Member at Large), Dan Morton (Elder), Geoff Nedry (Elder). Bios will be available in the narthex and in the Life Center. We will also give an update on our evolving relationship with the Lutheran Church Extension Fund (LCEF).

NURSERY WORKER NEEDED

The nursery is in need of an adult worker, 20 years of age or older, on Wednesday nights from 6:00 - 8:45 PM. This is a paid position and at some point could lead to more opportunity on Sunday mornings.

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 6 @ 8:15 AM CGLS is hosting an Early Childhood Open House on Thursday, October 6. Join us at 8:15 a.m. in front of the school entrance for Prayer at the Pole with K-8 students and families. Stay for a cup of coffee at Cups of Love, then take a tour of the Preschool, PreK and Kindergarten classrooms. We’ll finish up with preschool chapel. Whether you are still looking for your child’s educational home for 2016-17 or looking ahead to 2017-18, we’d love to welcome you!

NOVEMBER 18-20 Calling all high school students! Christ’s Greenfield is hosting the annual Arizona Regional Lutheran Youth Gathering, November 18-20. We will be staying at a hotel, playing games, listening to awesome speakers and worship, and serving our community, let alone eating lots of food! Cost is $125, by October 14th, covers everything.

TAX CREDIT SCHOLARSHIPS FOR OUR SCHOOL

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 9 @ 12:00 NOON Christ’s Greenfield Lutheran’s Singles’ Group usually meets on the first Sunday of each month for fellowship and prayer, but in October we’ll meet instead on October 9 so we can attend the Voters' Meeting at noon on October 2. On October 9, we’ll have lunch at noon at The Harp Pub (1744 S. Val Vista in Mesa).

PRAYER TREES

As JOIN THE JOURNEY 2.0 kicks off this week, please pick up a prayer request from a tree in the courtyard and be committed to praying all week for that request.

JESUS & GELATO PRAYER WALK

On Saturday, October 1, we will meet at Frost Gelato, San Tan Mall at 3:00 p.m., break into groups, walk around the mall, and pray for others silently and aloud as the Spirit leads. Gather back at Frost Gelato at 4:00 p.m. for gelato and fellowship.

NEW TO CGLC? Meet at the WELCOME KIOSK after any service for Pathfinder, a brief tour of our campus and ministries.

The NURSERY is open and welcomes children for both the 9:00 & 10:45 services, and is located south of the Sanctuary.

Trained PRAYER TEAM members are available to pray after each service.
