LIBRARY REDESIGN PROJECT The goal for this project was to completely redesign the first floor of Florida State University’s Strozier library, and to create a destination for students to relax and enjoy. This has been my favorite project so far because it allowed me to work in a group setting and collaborate with other people.

The design for this project was inspired by Copenhagen, Denmark. The design took cues from the city’s organizational structure, sustainable elements and overall environment. The space included statements such as reindeer moss walls, multiple lounge areas and acoustical lighting.

SKETCHES Sketching is one of my favorite way to express my design ideas. Since starting design school, marker renderings have always been one of my favorite things to do. As a designer, I think building up sketching skills are important, even though many drawings are now done in cad. I see hand drawing as a skill that will always be useful to me, and that will help me to organize my thoughts.

LITTLE BITS OFFICE DESIGN Little Bits is an innovative, hands on company that specializes in the creation of mechanical building blocks. Located in St. Louis, Mo, the office sits on the Mississippi River and has direct access to parks and restaurants. The design for the office is expressive, eyecatching, and out-of-the-box; a space that is as unique and innovative as the company itself.

BAUHAUS PANEL & TABLE The design for the panel and table took inspiration from the work of Bauhaus master Josef Albers. This piece was selected for display in the FSU Fine Arts Exhibit in commemoration of the Bauhaus 100 year anniversary.

PARISIAN FLAT This Parisian apartment shows my first attempt at rendering with marker. This is still one of my favorite projects because of the bright, vibrant colors and the small architectural details within this Haussmann apartment building. This project helped me experiment with rendering and to develop a graphic style. My intent for this project was to go out of my comfort zone, which is my reasoning behind the multicolor design.
