An immediate way to get involved is to attend law school hosted events. We have two exciting events that will take place towards the end of January and I hope you will make plans to join us. On January 22, the Kentucky Law Journal (KLJ) will host an Election Law Symposium. The topic of election law is extremely relevant as our nation prepares to vote on the next leader of our country during the Presidential Election in November. Another hot topic in the media today surrounds human rights. On January 27, the law school, in conjunction with the Kentucky Commission on Human Rights, will host a symposium in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the passage of the Kentucky Civil Rights Act of 1966. Both of these events will be free and open to the public. Be on the lookout for registration information being sent to you in the near future. I look forward to building from the successes of 2015, and to make 2016 even better! Please join me in this effort by getting involved with your alma mater. David A.
