Members of the church were uniformly dressed, wearing Redemption Point AG's 10th anniversary Lacoste in the colours pink, white yellow and blue.

Children of the ministry were not left out of the celebration as they did a classic recital entitled 'What are you doing for God', citing the immense contribution of Esther, David, Joana and Priscilla in the Bible to the Kingdom of God. The Head Pastor of the church, Rev Thomas Ani Adjei who doubles as the Secretary of Assemblies of God- Awutu Senya District, urged Christians to be punctual in the house of God as punctuality was very essential in the Father's house.

He said it was necessary for Christians to be time conscious in their walk with the Lord.

As part of the week-long celebration, the church did a clean-up exercise in Nyanyano Kakraba, organised health screening for its member, a health walk from Nyanyano Kakraba to Kasoa and crowned it with a thanksgiving ceremony on Sunday.

Atheists Call for 'Bible-Free' Hotel Rooms.

Bringing together over four hundred people to celebrate the goodness of God, the church in a presentation played back its history as shown in pictures to portray its rather rapid growing process in advancing the kingdom of God. In his sermon, Rev James Subre, Associate Pastor of Glory Assemblies of God, Sakumono, advised Christians to focus their attention on God other than their problems.

He said, more often than not, Christians pay too much of attention to their problems and sufferings there by belittling the power and ability of God to deliver and provide for them.

Preaching on the theme, 'Empowered by the Spirit to do Exploits, he stated that God provides and cater for his children in His divine ways in which sometimes men cannot comprehend.

“Focus on God and he will meet you at your point of need” Rev. Subre said and cited how God caused birds and the widow at Zarephath to feed Elijah when there was no rain.

he Freedom from Religion Foundation, America's largest association of atheists and agnostics, began a campaign Monday to rid all hotel rooms of Bibles distributed by The Gideons International and replaced with copies of Charles Darwin's "On the Origin of Species."

The Gideons International is well known worldwide for their work with hotels but a c c o r d i n g t o t h e i r we b s i te , t h e y predominantly share Scriptures in schools and colleges, prisons and jails, hospitals, and medical offices. The group is also an association of Christian business and professional men and their wives dedicated to telling people about Jesus through sharing personally and by

providing Bibles and New Testaments.

In a release Monday, however, the FFRF charged that Gideons International was "exploiting hotels and motels to proselytize a captive audience," and informed the American Hotel and Motel Association that they wanted the Bibles removed.

The FFRF also sent letters to a number of companies, including Wyndham Worldwide, Intercontinental Hotel Groups (Holiday Inn), Choice Hotels International (Quality Inn), Hilton Worldwide, G6 Hospitality (Motel 6), Marriott International, Best Western, Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group (Radisson, Carlson, Country Inn) and Starwood Hotels and Resorts (Sheraton).

"Those who must read the Bible every day will surely take precautions to travel with their own copies. The rest of us deserve a break from mindless evangelizing when we are on vacation," wrote FFRF's Co-Presidents Dan Barker and Annie Laurie Gaylor on behalf of the organization's 23,000 nonreligious members.

hinese authorities are increasingly targeting Chinese Christians in their hunt for “evil” cults. The growing number of Christians in China claimed that authorities are just using the crackdown on dangerous cults as an excuse, and in reality, curtailing momentous growth in their number.

China Aid reports that five church leaders have been detailed over the religious meetings and activities. They are accused of leading a cult and using their organization “to undermine law enforcement.” The five leaders were identified as Shen and Li Jianghua from Taiwan, 71st Street Church's pastor Li Jia'en, a Shanxi pastor, Ms Li Jiangtao, and a Henan pastor, Liang Jing.

“According to the facts of your violations, the characteristics, circumstances, and degree to which they harm society and other related truths, your lawviolating actions are severe,” their penalty notice reads.

Pastor Li Jia'en shared to China Aid that they have been ordered to stop all their religious activities. They can no longer hold meetings even though they must still continue to pay rent on its building. Nearby shops were told to report to the authorities if meetings are observed in the future.

Activists believe that China is cracking down on Christians in the country because of the growth in their numbers. Up to 1 700 churches have since been destroyed. Crosses in Zhejiang province have also been removed. Activists believe that these anti-Christian measures would expand to other Chinese provinces soon.

Since June, Chinese authorities have been pursuing cults, following the severe beating of a woman to death in a McDonald's store in Shandong, China.

The woman was beaten by a group of members of Church of Almighty God, an illegal cult in China, who believed she was possessed by an evil spirit. Two of these members who carried out the crime were executed. The rest were given sentences ranging from seven years to life. A total of 19 followers of the Church of Almighty God in July have been imprisoned, UCANews reported. Supreme Court dismisses appeal against Musama Disco Priest

A

five-member panel of the Supreme Court, has dismissed a civil appeal by Prophet Miritaiah Jonah Jehu-Appiah of the Musama Disco Christo Church (MDCC), against his removal as Head of the church (Akaboha III). The panel comprised Justice William Atubiga, who presided, Justice Mrs S.O.A Adinyira, Justice N.S. Gbadegbe, Justice J.B. Akamba and Justice A. A. Benin. Justice Atubiga said in 2002, the Bold and Beautiful newspaper published an article alleging that the defendant had drugged and raped a Junior Secondary School girl. Scandalized by this, the executive council of the plaintiff church met and urged the defendant to institute a libel action against the newspaper. The defendant however pleaded that the plaintiff church should rather 'appeal' to the publishers to stop further similar publications.

The investigative council then set up an investigative committee to delve into the allegation. The investigative committee found that the defendant had indeed committed sexual misconduct contrary to the Church's constitution and the Bible.

The defendant's reaction was that he was reserving his comment but would undertake a 21-day fast with prayers for the forgiveness of sins and would compensate his sex victims. He was suspended and later the plaintiff church's I'Odormey conference (the general annual assembly of the plaintiff church,

which according to the constitution of the church is the governing body), reached consensus to remove him from office.

Whilst trying to formulate consensus, some family members of the defendant invaded and disrupted the conference.

The defendant was later formally removed but some of his family members challenged the said removal claiming that the Akaboha or head holds the office for life and cannot be removed. The MDCC brought an action against the defendant in the High Court, which among others said Akaboha has been permanently removed from office as from Friday February 14, 2003. Dissatisfied with the judgement, the defendant appealed to the Court of Appeal, which upheld the decision of the High Court on all the issues.

The defendant appealed against the decision at the Supreme Court on a number of grounds, which includes; the judgement was against the weight of evidence and that the Court of Appeal erred by ignoring the evidential rules relating to admission of fact when it turned a blind eye to the import of the evidence put up by defence witness Nana Koomson.

Justice Atubiga said it was clear from Exhibit 1 that “the plaintiff church was established inter alia, sanctity and therefore it would defeat that object and spirit to construe it literally to mean that the Akaboha can hold his office for life even if he is morally decadent”. He said the tenure of office of an Akaboha for life does not

youth leade rship training initiative aimed at developing the potentials of youths and themarginali zed in society with the gospel knowledge has been launched in Accra.

The project known as “IMPACT GHANA” (IMPACT GH), aims to offer kingdom leadership training to youths, especially those that are affected by circumstances such as natural disaster, isolation, social exclusion, poverty, homeless and all forms Ages between 16 to 25years are expected to receive leadership courses in areas as Kingdom Leadership, Media Training, Voice of Hope, National Prayer and Volunteer Academy.

Currently, registration is ongoing on its facebook page and they expect to train 15 participants at every section of

the course.

As part of its programmes, Impact Ghana will organise an annual awards scheme for governmental organisations, private business, voluntary groups and a youth programme dubbed “City Alive”.

Launching the project, the Executive Head of Impact GH, Rev. Allen Joe Opoku, said, the core objective of the NGO is to prepare a generational leadership with intellectual, moral and spiritual capabilities that would seek to bring out truth in everything they do. “ Impact GH will bring a unique opportunity to ensure that the church community is a crucial partner in achieving national aspirations thereby advancing Gods Kingdom principles in the work place, marketplace and community”, he added.

“Indeed subsection 5 of section XIV of the church's constitution, exhibit 1, makes it clear that the arbitrators are to decline jurisdiction 'when it is found to be more serious and above the church's jurisdiction.'

“There is no doubt that such criminal offences as rape and defilement are above their jurisdiction. “Arbitration in the circumstances of this case was a nonstarter. Social Media is a tool that can make or break you because it works based on what you are using it for, be it the propagation of the kingdom of God or a business agenda”. “ With millions of Ghanaians and a billion of people worldwide being on facebook, it's no more only for friends but also can be used strategically for business. In using it for business, it can enhance and boost ones business agenda positively.

Conluding, Rev. Joe Opoku said, it is high time for all of us to have a second look at the benefits of the social media especially in growing our business and network of people.

o you know that you are the temple of God? Do you know that the spirit o the Most High dwells in you? Christ on His many sermons always pointed out that fact to us, and His followers continued to emphasis that point. The Apostle Paul made us come to the realization that, through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, He not only reconciles us with God our Father, but He also fills us with the His holy spirit and makes us temples of the living God. This exposure is not only refreshing, but extraordinarily wonderful.

If through our baptism, Christ becomes the foundation of our body, and God transforms each of our hearts into dwelling places of Himself.

We become members of the communion of saints and all together, we form one body of Christ. As such, like Christ we have to let a zeal for God's house consumeus.

We have to stop making ourselves and the temple of God a marketplace. We are not commodities; we are living temples sent forth to proclaim the holiness, the mercifulness and the love of the Lord G o d A l m i g h t y .

As Christians, we have become a people set apart; a holy people; we have channels of life-giving grace from Christ because He enjoins us to Himself.

He touches and fragrances the world through us. As such our lifestyle, our way of dressing and general mannerisms should reflect us such. And as long as we remain in Him, we shall bear fresh fruits that serve as food, and our leafs as medicine.

We are dwelling places of the Most High God. He has promised to be with us always. He is "our refuge and our strength, an ever-present help in distress. Therefore, we fear not, though the earth be shaken and mountains plunge into the depths of the sea." All we need to do is ask for His grace, that we may be enlightened in mind, and purified in heart so that we would keep His temple holy.

HE Women's Ministry Director of Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC), Deaconess Grace Lucy Yeboah- Asuama has called on Christian women to uphold their integrity as good stewards of Christ.

She advised that women examine themselves, identify their weaknesses and let the world see Christ in their lives.

Speaking on the theme 'Being A Good Steward Of God In My Generation', during the 2015 Pentecost Women's Ministry week celebration at PIWC SSNIT-FLATS, Dansoman, she mentioned that in order to

win souls for Christ, Christians have to show unbelievers the significant change in their lives. ' Evangelism works only when people see Christ in the lives of Christians', she said, adding that Christians should be able to diffuse the minds of those who tag people of integrity.

The week- long celebration included talk shows, health screening, evangelism, business fairs and a party for widows at different PIWC branches across the nation and was crowned with Thanksgiving services on Sunday where women dressed

Over four hundred (400) people came together in the first service of PIWC SSNIT-FLATS, Dansoman for the 2015 thanksgiving service where Pentecost women in their various groups namely; Jewels, Emeralds, Princess, and Precious took turns to sing and dance to the glory of the Lord.

The guest speaker of the day, Mrs Sheila Nyansah Hayfron also advised women to uphold Christian values and Principles in order to encourage and affect the men in their lives She mentioned that, often when men break rules and defied orders to make money, it is to please women. However, if these women could fully uphold their integrity, men would rethink most of their actions.

'Be diligent, dependable, loyal, effective, have a good team spirit and do not break protocol to make money deals as a Christian, because it is below your value' she added.

Teaching on integrity, Mrs Hayfron also admonished Christians to develop a good relationship with God, be hardworking and not vengeful.

Church of Christ Darkumah, Celebrates Youth Week.

he Church of Christ Youth Ministry at Darkuman official town in Accra have been urged to be Serious in their Service to God. The President of the Youth Ministry Mr Asare Boateng, made the call, in an interview with Christian Guide during their 15th Annual Youth Week Celebration..

According to him, the youth play a critical role in a church, “Christ wants us to be with Him at the end of our life, and we must give our best to God, because we are the pillars of the church and when our old men are no more we will take over as senior ministers. “we thank God for the wonderful things he has done for the youth ministry and the church at large, even though there were challenges along the line, God has been merciful throughout the journey hence the need to celebrate the week”, he added.

The week long celebration, he said, has brought psychological development and theological knowledge in

all aspects of their life” as it was focused on building the interest of Youths in the work of God. Other sister churches from communities North Odorkor , Chabaa, Korle-bu, Fadama and A-lang also joined the celebration.

Dubbed: “Youth Arise and Commit Yourselves for Your Development and Maturity in Christ” was climaxed with activities such as: songs ministration and public lectures on the topic “The Youth, The Church and Marriage”, “The Virtues of a Christian Lady”, “Great Commitment Builds Great Church” and “There is a Blessing in the Lords Church”.

Mr Boateng, Commended the youths for their total support in Evangelism and urged them to show more seriousness in the year ahead, saying “as young as we are, we need to attach importance to all we do and be active in duties of the Church. Evangelism is the basic of our calling, we need to exhibit the talent God has given to us to transform the community in which we live by drawing people close to God”.

In his 2nd tenure of Office, Mr Boateng said, the youth ministry has achieved alot for the church, as they have helped in the area of evangelism, seminars and undertaken renovations.

The Senior Minister of the Church, Rev David Amoateng, indicated that, the youths are active and need to be introduced to some of these educative activities to entertain and make them more active in the Lord's work.

“Church of Christ is the church that Jesus built and

we consider the youth to be our main focus, when they become actively involved in church duties and the scriptures, they can never be misled”, he added.

According to Rev Amoateng, People below 50 years were considered to be youths and needed to still be nurtured on the church principles that were left by Jesus “We are very strict in following the bible, in terms of our worship and sermons, the church had gone through lots of generations but we still maintain the original worship of the church and that is, by singing with our local voice without instrumentals”, he explained.

Local voice he said, was the right way of worshiping, stressing that, “I must say, lot of churches are off truck in worshiping God, there are a lot of churches that do not follow the principles in the bible, they think of their gains and that is a human church not the church of Christ. Jesus once said: they will come but be careful you don't follow them”.

He lauded the youth ministry for their contribution to the church and encouraged them to rely on the bible to guide their steps.

Background The church which started with about 50 members in the year 1997at the Darkuman Official Town, now has two branches in Fadama and A- Lang.

With a memberships of 350, they have embarked on several outreach programs with about 6000 tracts distributed so far and 200 converted.

Since its establishment had also helped in several clean up exercises and tiding of the community roads as part of its social responsibilities.

The church is however challenged with land acquisition to expand its branches and build community projects like a hospital.

opular preacher and Prophet, Peter Anamoh of the Machaira of the Pneuman Foundation says it is wrong for people to preach about the personality of Jesus Christ. Many Christian believers perceive Jesus Christ as their source of life and even equate him to God. But Prophet Peter Anamoh who now heads the Restore Concept Organisation, says even Christ while he was on earth some 2000 years ago, did not in any way preach about himself but he chose to preach about the Kingdom of God. Apostle Dr. Koduah whose presentation was interspersed with several biblical examples and contemporary occurrences, gave some biblical antidotes to spiritual ignorance According to him, the only antidote to spiritual ignorance is going back to the Bible, saying, “Until Christians learn to rightly divide the word of God, there is no way they can come out of spiritual ignorance.”

He also said Christians can come out of spiritual ignorance by understanding that hearing from the Lord involves willingness to seek His face through waiting, meditation, studying the word, personal experiences, and openness to spiritual reality.

He indicated that the process of hearing from the Lord involves listening to God, comprehending or understanding what God is saying, believing and trusting in, and practicing what the Lord is saying as well as being transformed by what God has said.

Touching on hearing from the Lord, the former General Secretary said that there

“So the question now is, how come today's church is preaching what they are preaching? Therefore, the religious church i n t h i s w o r l d h a s g o n e o ff t r a c k completely.”

Prophet Peter Anamoh is therefore of the view that preachers of today must rather focus on preaching the Kingdom of God rather than preaching Jesus as well as other messages which he describes as “very dangerous”.

“So brethren let us do the right thing now as He, Himself told the disciples He sent out 2000 years ago that, 'if you go preach this message of the Kingdom of God or Heaven is at hand or near, (Matthew 10:7).

“Because as humans, He knew if he does not caution them, they will decide to preach their own messages as we are doing today, or they might preach things they saw Him do, such as the miracles, etc. and this will, in no doubt, mess the purpose of His coming and affect the salvation mission of mankind.”

HE Founder and Chair of the Mo Ibrahim Foundation (MIF), Dr. Mo Ibrahim, has called on Africans to focus on the core issues affecting the development, stability and progress of the continent other than homosexuality issues.

“Homexuality is not Africa's main problem. We have bigger problems of unemployment, education and how to prepare our children for the future”. He stated, adding that there was a need for Africans to offer its younger generation a future in the continent not abroad.

Speaking at the Prize ceremony of the 2014 Ibrahim Prize for Achievement in African Leadership, which was held at Accra International Conference Centre (AICC), he emphasized that Africa had more pressing issues to solve in ensuring

Preach road safety, churches told.

hurches in the country have been urged to cooperate with the Ghana Police Service to facilitate road safety during this year's festive season.

The churches have been asked to collaborate and complement the efforts of the Police by using their various platforms to educate their members on road safety measures, and avoid actions that could lead to accidents.

This call was made by Rev. Dr. Kwabena Opuni-Frimpong, General Secretary of the Christian Council of Ghana (CCG), in a sermon at the Ghana Police Church last Sunday in Accra to mark the eve of Advent.

According to him, churches should support

efforts to avoid situations where some individuals and families would be counting their losses after the festive season.

“The Ghana Police Service should intensify its public visibility efforts. It must engage churches, and use their various platforms to intensify its road safety campaigns across the nation.

Road users must also ensure safety first in all that they do,” h e e n c o u r a g e d .

Touching on Advent, which are the preparatory days leading to Christmas, he admonished Christians to prepare socially and economically for the festive season.

The Founder of Goshen Ministries, formerly known as George Dokosi World Outreach Ministries (GDWOM), Prophet George Dokosi, who made the call, commented on the need for women especially the professionals to give the best of their time to God instead of relying on their strength.

With this initiative, executives of the hall seek to empower women, give them the opportunity to unveil their skills and help make a change in society in their own small way.

Bridgette Zelda Yeboah, Benedicta Brobbey, Sandra Naa Dedei Ollettey, Benedicta Adobah and Hephzebah Ohene were presented to members of the JTN Yankah Hall as the Women's commissioner, Deputy Women's Commissioner, General Secretary, Organising

Secretary and Treasurer respectively.

The launch brought together about two hundred hall residents to celebrate the opportunity given to these women to make a change.

Speaking at the program, the Patron of the Commission, Dr. Akosua Darkwa who doubles as the Director for CEGENSA, Legon, urged the executives to build their leadership on good morals and values that others can emulate.

She reminded them of the duty of young Africans to unleash their talents through acquiring knowledge and upholding their integrity. ' Under all circumstances, speak the truth and project our core values', she advised.

Accordingly, Dr. Darkwa pledged her support to the commission, stating that she was committed to make it work in empowering women.

The guest speaker of the launch, Miss Maud Korah who is also the NUGS Women's Commissioner advised the young ladies not to avail themselves to men as sex She said that as long as women depended solely on men for empowerment, women empowerment will never be successful.

Miss Korah urged women to rise high in their education status, sharpen their skills and rise above their inferiority complex in order to occupy sensitive positions around the globe to enhance change.

non-denominational program designed to bring different choirs together on one platform to sing in worship has been held in Accra.

“Choir on grove” organized by K.C entertainment, a Christian event promotion and management outfit, is aimed at harmonizing different groups of choirs to sing with one melodious voice.

The choirs include: Overflow Inc., Praise A'chord PIWC, Dansoman, Covenant Voices, Royal House Chapel, Olivet Voices, Mountain Olivet Methodist Church, Dansoman, the Ministers Music Ministry, Harbour City Mass Choir, Inner circle Inc., Grace Chapel, Kaneshie, Family Choir, University of Ghana, Glorious Philipmonic Choir and the Lord's Tabernacle Choir ICGC, Achimota, Abofu.

Each choir was given the opportunity and time to perform exceedingly on classical, contemporary and local and choral music.

About 2000 participants including various church leaders and celebrities stood on their feet, shouted with joy and displayed all sorts of dance to show their gratefulness to God.

“Infact God gave us this idea as a team three years ago, and we feel this is the time to come out, so many people are coming from the orthodox, Pentecostal, charismatic and there is no discrimination here, we are worshiping together as one big body in Christ Jesus”, he stressed.

Fiifi Forson who is also a presenter at Sunny Fm, indicated that, this was what worshipers unite was all about, “pulling down denominational barriers with our churches and just coming together for the one common goal”.

“Choir on Grove” he said, was a time of exalting and magnifying God, he added, “what excite me more was when some choirs selected and sang songs which they did not usually sing at their churches.

The Sunny FM presenter claimed that, Gods people experiences unique anointing every time the choirs minister to their churches under one umbrella.

K.C Entertainment has so far organized various events such as celebration of grace, celebration of Love, celebration of Peace reloaded, celebration of Goodness and celebration of faithful.

It also recently honoured one of a pioneer and legend of Contemporary gospel music, Danny Nettey, for his massive commitment in the industry. As part of its social responsibilities, the group supported the Danny Netty School project and the Autism School with a donation.
