wayfinding.

A SUBT L E S U GGESTION A thick rammed earth wall meanders around the complex, acting as a tactile wayfinding device. The curves - that disappear around corners - spark intrigue amongst onlookers and invites them in. Its texture reminds you of rugged landscape, while its sheer height leads your sight upwards towards the sky. A red glow guides the eye at night and reveals intricate impressions within the wall that speak of the network of stars above. Trickling water follows the trail and suggests of a body of water somewhere down the beaten track.

Deeper into the hotel, the wayfinding walls develop a ridge that allow for those finding their way back to their villa to use it as a tactile guide.

The ridge also holds sculpting tools, so those staying at the hotel can leave their own mark on the site. Hexagonal windows provide spaces for people to create art.

Over time, the wall will be slowly erroded by peoples artwork - creating a palimsest of past stories and experiences.
