Dulux Trade paint data now available in BIM format Dulux Trade has become the first paint manufacturer in the UK to make its coatings available as BIM objects. The data is available from the manufacturer’s dedicated specifier website, www. specifytradepaint.co.uk, as well as www.duluxtrade.co.uk and the NBS National BIM Library – www.nationalbimlibrary.com/duluxtrade – an online resource that allows construction professionals to locate and download quality generic and proprietary BIM objects. BIM allows architects, designers and contractors to access detailed product information in a digital format and incorporate it into 3D computer aided design (CAD) modelling for building projects. This makes it easier for specifiers to find products with the right physical and functional characteristics. *
