Percussion Trained and competent in a wide array of styles including Orchestral/Concert, Jazz, Rock, World, and Marching. Has the ability and experience to perform on Drum Set, Mallet Percussion, Concert Percussion, Auxiliary, Marching, and Hand Percussion.

Composition Training and experience composing music for Chamber Ensembles, Wind Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra, Marching Band, Electronics, and Film. Has won numerous awards, commissions, and premiers from ensembles across the country as well as composed for companies like Catsonics.

Arranging Experience arranging for a wide assortment of ensembles including Marching Bands. Has arranged for numerous high schools around the country including Indoor Percussion, WGI attending groups. Has also arranged percussion for JMU’s Marching Royal Dukes, which have led to his arrangements being performed in the 2013 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Software → Sibelius – very competent in the notation software with experience using it for freelancing. → Logic Pro – very competent in the Digital Audio Workstation (DAW). → NOTION – experience using the notation software in a performance setting Audio Engineering/Recording Training and experience in using recording equipment and DAWs to record and produce music, voice-overs, and Foley.

Acting Experience acting as an assortment of characters in Theme Park shows and Musicals.

Publications A Guide for the Modern Percussionist Co-writer for a pedagogical curriculum guide for young percussionists and instructors.

Contributed ensemble piece compositions and all sheet music engravings.

Teaching and Instruction Public School Level Percussion instructor for the James River High School Regiment Percussion and Powhatan H.S. Varsity Indoor Percussion as well as the founder and instructor for the Robious Middle School Drumline. Also served as Percussion Teacher of James River High School percussion class Private Instructor Taught private music lessons to a handful of students ranging from Elementary to High School level. Some students have been selected for VBODA ensembles.

Composition Competitions All awards included premier performances by ensembles across the country. → 1st Place winner of the New Music for Young Musicians Composers Competition.
