1. INTRODUCTION
Castle Hill RSL Club Ltd (CHRG) is committed to providing a safe environment and an exceptional customer experience. To achieve that our team needs to be free from distractions from electronic devices. The purpose of this policy is to provide guidelines for the use of personal electronic devices within our venues. This policy applies to all team members and contractors of CHRG.
2. PERSONAL ELECTRONIC DEVICES
2.1.Mobile Phones & Tablets
Personal mobile phones and tablet use is not permitted whilst on duty in any service area. All devices are to be stored in an allocated area for the duration of your shift. Lockers are provided for safe keeping of personal deviceswhileonduty.If afriendorfamilymemberneedsto contactyouduringyourshiftduetoanemergency, the leader on duty will notify you.
2.2.Smart Watches
Personal smart watches are permitted whilst on duty however use of such devices is to be limited to time keeping. Watches are not to be utilised to view messages, notifications etc.
2.3.Headphones
Headphones, including ear pods/buds, are not permitted whilst on duty in any service or back of house operational area.
3. BREACH OF THIS POLICY
Breaches of this policy may result in counselling and or disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal.
4. REVIEW OF THIS POLICY
This policy will be reviewed every two years to ensure it remains consistent with all relevant legislative requirements, as well as the changing nature of the company or more frequently where legislative requirements are changed or amended.
5. POLICY COMMUNICATION AND EDUCATION
This policy will be stored on CHRG’s intranet site. It will be incorporated into induction/onboarding programs and CHRG will conduct education sessions on the application and operation of this policy as required and when any changes to the policy are implemented.
