Terms and Conditions
1) Upon being admitted as a Member of Castle Hill RSL Club Ltd. (CHRG), and as a condition of your membership, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and the Members Reward Terms and Conditions, as amended from time to time by the Group
2) The following definitions will apply throughout these Terms and Conditions:
a) Active Member: A member who holds a Financial Membership (meaning the subscription fee has been paid) or whose membership is eligible for and has been allocated a No Cost Renewal Additionally, the current date must be less than the membership expiry date.
b) CHRG: Refers to Castle Hill RSL Group (trading as Castle Hill RSL Club Ltd.), and includes Castle Hill RSL, Club Parramatta, Lynwood Golf and Country Club, Castle Hill Fitness & Aquatic Centre, Castle Hill Bowling Club and any other registered clubs or entities under the banner of CHRG.
c) Group: Refers to Castle Hill RSL Group (CHRG), registered at 77 Castle Street, Castle Hill NSW 2154, including all associated entities, venues, and facilities owned and operated by CHRG.
d) Date First Registered: The date on which a member completes a membership application and is registered in the CHRG membership system. If a member applies for membership online, they must complete the application in person at a CHRG venue
e) Date Joined: The date on which a member's application for CHRG membership is approved in accordance with CHRG’s Constitution and the person’s name recorded in the membership system, marking the official admission to membership of CHRG
f) Expiry Date: The date marking the end of an Active Membership This is typically set at 31st December in the year after the member joins or renews their membership. The member must renew their membership, either through payment of the subscription fee or by qualifying before this date for a No Cost Renewal through a Venue Engagement, to retain their membership.
g) Financial Membership: A membership status in which the member has paid the required subscription fee for the membership term, ensuring the member is in good standing with the CHRG. A Financial Membership is necessary for maintaining Active Member status unless the membership has been renewed as a No Cost Renewal through Venue Engagement.
h) Inactive Member: A member whose membership has lapsed due to failure to complete any Venue Engagement during the calendar year of their membership expiry, or failure to maintain Financial Membership status by paying the required subscription fee. An Inactive Member ceases to be a member of CHRG and loses the rights and benefits associated with Active Membership if:
i) the member paid an annual subscription for the Membership Duration – on the date that is one (1) month after the due date of the next subscription payment (see Rule 39(c) of the CHRG Constitution); or
ii) the membership was renewed through Venue Engagement for the Membership Duration – immediately at the end of the Membership Duration if the member has failed to complete any Venue Engagement,
and must rejoin by paying the applicable membership fee, with their membership tenure resetting to zero years.
i) Membership Duration: The length of time a membership is valid. The default membership term is a maximum of two calendar years, with the membership year running from January 1st to December 31st. The duration is based on the date of joining within the membership year.
j) Member Rewards Program: CHRG offers Members various rewards, benefits, and privileges based on their engagement with CHRG venues, as outlined in the Member Rewards Program Terms and Conditions.
k) No Cost Renewal: The automatic renewal of a member’s CHRG membership for an additional 12 months at no cost, which is granted upon the member achieving a qualifying interaction as part of a Venue Engagement.
l) Reward Points: Points that accrue when Members make purchases or engage in activities at CHRG venues, which can be redeemed for goods and services as outlined in these Terms, and the Member Rewards Program Terms and Conditions.
m) Valid Form of Identification: A form of identification required for members and visitors over the age of 18 to access CHRG venues, including Castle Hill RSL Club, Club Parramatta, Lynwood Golf and Country Club, and Castle Hill Bowling Club. Members and visitors who appear under the age of 25 must provide proof of age upon entry. Accepted forms of identification include:
i) A current driver or rider license issued by an Australian State or Territory or any foreign country
ii) A NSW digital driver's license
iii) An Australian or overseas passport (proof of address must be supplied with an Australian passport)
iv) NSW photo card
v) Proof of age card/identification card
vi) Keypass (over 18) identity card issued by Australia Post
vii) An Australian Defence Force identification card (with proof of address)
viii) Other forms of identification may be accepted at the discretion of CHRG management.
n) Venue: Refers to any premises operated by CHRG, including but not limited to Castle Hill RSL, Club Parramatta, Lynwood Golf and Country Club, Castle Hill Fitness & Aquatic Centre and Castle Hill Bowling Club.
o) Venue Engagement: A qualifying interaction or activity at a CHRG venue as determined by CHRG in its absolute discretion, that maintains a member’s active status and results in a No Cost Renewal
p) $ or dollar: References Australian monetary currency.
3) To become a member of the Club, you must provide the following details:
a) Full name, date of birth, and gender
b) Residential and/or postal address
c) Phone number (mobile or landline) and email address
4) Your membership application must be completed in person at a CHRG Venue. Members who apply online must visit the Club or related venues to:
a) Present a Valid form of Identification to verify the supplied details.
b) Must agree to have their take a photo taken by a CHRG employee to complete the application (This photograph may be included on the Physical Card issued by CHRG.).
5) By applying, you agree to adhere to the Rules, Constitution, By-Laws, Regulations, CHRG Privacy Statement, Privacy Policy, and any other terms, conditions, or policies of the Club or CHRG, which may be updated from time to time. Failure to adhere to the Rules, Constitution, By-Laws, Regulations, CHRG Privacy Statement, Privacy Policy, and any other terms, conditions, or policies of the Club or CHRG can result in suspension for a specified period of time or expulsion from membership.
6) Once your membership is approved in accordance with the requirements of the CHRG Constitution, your name will be added to the Club’s Member Register, marking your Date Joined. Member’s must notify CHRG of any change to their name, residential address or contact details prior to next using their membership card. Changes are to be notified by presenting in person at a CHRG Venue and providing a Valid Form of Identification with the amended changes.
7) Your name, address and date of admission to membership will be recorded on the Club’s Member Register kept for the purposes of the Corporations Act 2001. All other contact details and information will be kept on a secure database. All information will be used only in accordance with the Registered Clubs Act 1976 (NSW), these Terms and Conditions, and the Privacy Policy. This may include use for future promotional, marketing, and publicity purposes as outlined in the Privacy Policy.
8) A person is only permitted to hold one membership account with CHRG. Any Card issued to a member may only be utilised by that member and no other person. Membership cards remain the property of CHRG. Physical Cards must be returned to management on request.
9) A CHRG membership is kept Active by either maintaining Financial Membership through the payment of the required subscription fee or triggering a No Cost Renewal, extending the membership for an additional 12 months. Active status ensures the member continues to enjoy all the benefits and rewards of the CHRG program. If your membership becomes inactive, you will lose all accrued Reward Points and Grading Points.
10) A No Cost Renewal is granted when a Member completes at least one qualifying Venue Engagement within the calendar year of their membership expiry. Once a qualifying interaction is recorded, the Member’s membership will automatically renew for an additional 12 months at no cost. Qualifying Venue Engagements include:
a) Booking a ticket to a CHRG Box Office show or activity
b) Booking a table at a restaurant or bar within a CHRG venue
c) Swiping at a CHRG Member Rewards Kiosk terminal
d) Making a purchase at a point of sale (POS) using the CHRG membership card
e) Holding a valid Castle Hill Fitness & Aquatic Centre (CHFAC), Lynwood Golf, or Castle Hill Bowling Club (CHBC) membership
f) Playing a gaming machine with the CHRG membership card inserted
g) Entering a CHRG member promotion
h) Signing in a visitor for Club entry
11) By providing a valid email address and/or phone number, you consent to receive communications from CHRG via email and/or SMS. This includes marketing and promotional materials, as well as any documents or notices required under the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth), which will be sent exclusively through email and/or SMS.
General Terms and Conditions
12) CHRG is not liable for replacing Reward Points lost due to circumstances beyond its control, including a lost, stolen, damaged, corrupted, or faulty membership card.
13) Members have the right to request a monthly player activity statement. To obtain this report, Members should contact the manager at any CHRG venue.
14) The accrual and redemption of Reward Points are subject to CHRG's sole discretion and may be changed at any time without prior notice to Members.
15) In the event of technical issues or membership card malfunctions, Reward Points will not be accrued or redeemed. Additionally, points will not be credited retroactively for transactions or gaming activities completed during such incidents.
16) CHRG reserves the right to resolve any matters or disputes arising in relation to the CHRG Rewards Program. Decisions made by CHRG are final and binding, with no further correspondence entered into. CHRG may amend these terms at any time without notice, and continued use of the program signifies acceptance of any updated terms.
17) The laws of New South Wales govern these terms and conditions, and all parties submit to the jurisdiction of its courts. This agreement constitutes the entire understanding between CHRG and the Member, superseding any previous agreements, representations, or promotional materials.
