NEW MEMBER WELCOME PACKAGE

Dear New Member

Congratulations, your application to join Castle Hill Bowling Club has been approved by the Bowls Advisory Committee.

The following points will help you understand the operating procedures of Castle Hill Bowling Club.

Club Structure

Castle Hill Bowling Club is a Sub Club of Castle Hill RSL Limited. The club operates with a Bowls Advisory Committee (BAC) The club’s Constitution and all other policies are available under resources on the club’s website www castlehillbc com au

Membership Fees

The annual membership fee is $120 00 for your membership class, a Bowling Member. The membership year is from 1 July to 30 June. To be a member of Castle Hill Bowling Club you must maintain membership of Castle Hill RSL, which is an initial cost of $5.50 and no further cost, provided you use your membership card in the club over a 12-month period. st th

Coaching

New members who have not been a member of a Bowling Club are required to undertake a coaching course with one of the club’s coaches This coaching is free of charge and is available to all members. A club coach will make contact directly with you to arrange coaching sessions

Club Uniform

The club provides free of charge to new members the following uniform items:

One polo shirt in either short or long sleeve

One shorts or long pants (men & women) or 3/4 pants (women)

The club has a full range of uniform items to purchase as per the attached order form.

Name Badge

The club provides a name badge to each new member. To order, place your name on the Name Badge Order Form in the Bowls Alcove.

Bowls Programme

The cost for Social Bowls is $15 The payment is made at the bar and a receipt is issued which is then placed on the spike outside the Bowls Office The receipt is used to mark your name off for social bowls on the day.

Tuesday: Open Gender Social Bowls from 12:30pm

Wednesday: Men’s Social Bowls from 1pm

Thursday: Women’s Social starting from 9am during day light savings, otherwise from 9:30am

Saturday: Open Gender Social Bowls from 1pm

Sunday: Open Gender Social Bowls from 9am

The daily booking in sheet is in the Bowls Alcove in the club. The booking sheet shows the dress attire for each day. Booking can also be made by phoning the Bowls Office

Club Championships

The club encourages all members to enter all non-graded championships via the Bowlslink. Entries for all championships will be available in the Bowls Alcove for entry in addition to the app.

Transfer Fees

Castle Hill Bowling Club pays the $25 transfer fee for a new member transferring from another bowls club

Entry Fees

To encourage members to improve their bowling experience, Castle Hill Bowling Club pays the entry fee for Regional and State competitions. The member is required to enter these competitions using the Bowlslink app The invoice together with the bank details is then to be emailed to the club’s email address for reimbursement
