Childlike Wonder

You say I’m childish and immature, but I say you are wrong. I say that I have a childlike wonder about myself; I love looking at the trees, seeing the colors change as the seasons go by, or admiring how the leaves transform their shapes. I love looking at the butterflies as they swoop away and imagining pictures in the atmosphere while looking at the clouds. I get excited when I see a butterfly in the sky. You say that ‘it’s just a butterfly’, but I see more than that—I see this alluring creature who learned how to spread its wings and fly across the world. I love going to the park and swinging on the swings, flying into the unknown. My imagination runs wild, bursting with crazy thoughts. Having a childlike wonder doesn’t mean that I am frivolous; it means that I see life through eyes of fascination and wonder. And that’s okay.
