Project | Reformation of a Public Square for the City of Ukraine
Architecture plays a significant role in fostering reconciliation and reconnection by addressing mental health, promoting inclusivity, and creating symbols of unity in the urban layout. Designing spaces for people with post-traumatic stress can be challenging in an open public space, post-war. Hence, designing the spaces and programmed activities can promote psycho-social healing as well as strengthen the sense of community and belonging.
