A JOYFUL SOUND
commissioned for the Trinity Springs Middle School Varsity Treble Choir, in dedication to a brave young lady, Kennedy Coke, for their performance at the 2025 National American Choral Directors Association Conference
Joyful, joyful, joyful! Forgiveness! Tis a joyful sound! To malefactors doomed to die. Unclouded shall its glories shine and feel no change by changing time. Forgiveness! Tis a joyful sound. The seas of sovereign grace expand. The seas of sovereign grace arise. Where much transgression is forgiven. May love in equal ardour glow.
Joyful, joyful, joyful! Forgiveness! Tis a joyful sound!

DOES THE WORLD SAY
WALTON MUSIC - WW 1936
Soloists: Aryanna Norris, Abby Longley & Kenzie Kito
Does the world say that you don’t look the right way? Does the world say that you’re just not enough? Does the world say that you’re not in the right spot? When it wants you there but not here and tells you all the things you are not.
I’ve been there, too. It’s hard to shut my ears to the noise. I don’t stand a chance if it’s me in this world all alone. The chatter is deafening, too overwhelming, hard to find my way home.
So take my hand…don’t let go.
Does the world say that you don’t think the right things? Does the world say that you’re not worth the time? Does the world laugh when you fall, when you cry?
Does it turn the other way everytime you walk by?
I’m growing, learning, loving, becoming.
So take my hand…don’t let go.
“Choir brings people together and creates bonds that last for an entire life.”
- Anna Jordan
“I love choir because it gives me confidence and makes me a better person.”
- Nana Osei-Tutu
“Singing allows me to resolve the emotions in my heart”

Ms. King is a member of TMEA, TCDA and ACDA.

We must take time to acknowledge and thank the singers who came before us on this wonderful musical journey. The dedication and hard work that the 2021-2024 TSMS Varsity Treble Choirs put forth was inspiring, and we would not be here today without them. Thank you for passing the torch to us and paving the way for us to have this experience at National ACDA. We hope to echo the legacy you have entrusted us with. #TrinitySings

TO MY VIBRANT VARSITY TREBLE, THANK YOU…
What a journey, my wonderful kids! I have witnessed so much growth in each and every one of you, and I couldn’t be more proud of the work and dedication you’ve put in. Your passion for choral music is truly unmatched, and the heart you bring to every rehearsal is inspiring.
The theme of our program this year, “You Are Not Alone,” has been something so special to witness. In a world that can sometimes feel chaotic and isolating, you’ve managed to create a space of peace and solace for one another. Each of you is a unique, remarkable individual, but together, you form something even greater—an extraordinary display of artistry and beauty.
We’ve shared so many laughs and tears along the way, and I hope you’ve all felt, truly and deeply, that you are not alone in this journey. We have each other, always. Know that you are smart, courageous, and kind—qualities that make you shine as individuals and as a choir. I hope you’ll hold onto the memories and embrace the music we’ve shared, always remembering the power of the text and the worthiness that lies within each of you. Choir is a place where everyone is welcomed and loved for exactly who they are. It’s a safe space for anyone to grow, to be themselves, and to feel supported. As you move forward, keep chasing your dreams and working hard—remember, the road may change, but always help others along the way. Many of you have called choir your home away from home, and I want you to know that no matter what, this will always be a place where you belong.
You are some of the most incredible humans I’ve had the privilege of teaching. I hope you never stop singing and sharing your beautiful gift with the world. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your journey. I love you all.
LOVE, MR. FERRIE
“I love choir because its a truly amazing place. Mr. Ferrie makes choir my favorite place and makes my day better!”
