EXPERIENCE

TWA Internship (2024)

As an intern in TWA, a firm specializing in landed housing, I gained hands-on experience in architectural design and client collaboration. I worked with Revit to produce architectural drawings and introduced Enscape to enhance 3D rendering workflows, benefiting both the team and clients. Site visits to construction projects, marble factories, and tile and paint showrooms deepened my understanding of materials and interior design. I also assisted the architect with tasks, interacted with clients, and helped select finishes, honing my technical and interpersonal skills. This experience enriched my knowledge of residential design and strengthened my passion for architecture.

Yassin Kampong Part time service crew (2020)

During my time there, I gained valuable experience in customer service and operations. I managed customer orders, ensuring satisfaction while addressing their needs promptly. Working closely with the kitchen crew, I helped maintain seamless service flow, even during peak hours. I also took responsibility for keeping the space clean, contributing to a positive dining experience for patrons. This role enhanced my teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.

Archifest Park(ing) Day NYP team member (2022)

As a team member, we designed and assembled an interactive art installation for the elderly at Touchpoint @ Ang Mo Kio. The project aimed to invoke nostalgic feelings through the 5 senses.

AREAS MOSTLIKELYTO FLOOD

Highlighted in red are the areas in Kampong Bugis that are low lying and prone to flooding, taking into consideration the eects of river flooding, terrain & surface runo due to intense rain.

Based on my contour line map, I mapped out various scenes and landmarks found in Ponyo into the Kampong Bugis site map to influence my masterplan. This is also where i got my concept design of my marine life conservation and research centre which is based on a scene in the movie.

STUDYING THE PANGOLIN

EXPLORATION

Using study models as a method of investigation,

- Using paper as skin

- Cardboard as hard scales

What I learnt from my first study model,

I tried mimicking the overlapping layers of scales that pangolins have

- The scales are overlapping so that it covers the skin (vulnerable part) completely

- Each scale is only aached by the top of the scale

- The rest of the scale covers neighbouring scales

- This allows the pangolin to be flexible even with hard scales

PROCESS

3D PROTOTYPE MODELS

Exploring my scales in 3D

Goal: to showcase how flexible the scales are together even though individually, the scales are hard. To also make my model stand on its own.

STUDYING MYPERSONA

We explored architecture at large scale using a persona that moves within carrying out his or her daily activities and way of life, including eating, sleeping, working, and entertaining, while showcasing their distinct characteristics. This allows us to view architecture as an extension of a person, a body that acts, feels, and
