Dear Sir/Madam Chloe Mcveigh School Lane chloemacx@icloud.com 077757145698 Dear Sir/Madam I am writing to express my keen interest in your Buying and Merchandising placement programme within your Matalan store. I am currently studying Business fashion (BTEC Level 3 diploma) at Liverpool City College, whilst also working part time at Muse Southport and Moda in Pelle Southport. I am looking to broaden my buying experience within the fashion industry and feel that working alongside you would be a perfect opportunity for me to expand my experience. I am hardworking, organized and punctual individual, who thrives in a busy environment, I love to try new things, have new experiences and face new challenges. As part of my course I have studied Business Resources, Starting a small business, Web design strategies, internet marketing within business, business communication and Marketing and visual merchandising. As part of my units I have also analysed shop floors and policies as well as visiting London graduate fashion week all of which I feel will help as a buying assistance in your Riani showroom. This year I am applying to Manchester Metropolitan University to study a four year Fashion Buying and Merchandising degree, with the intention of becoming a buyer. Whilst I will be studying in Manchester I will still be living and working in Southport. During my two years working at Muse, my role has been shop assistant, as well as being a visual merchandiser for the store. As part of my role I have also been expected to check stock, price and tag garments, complete customer transactions and prepare stock rails for visiting clients. I have been part of the stores team when hosting fashion shows within the store and also in other venues around the area. My role within these shows has been ensuring the models where dressed correctly and ready to meet certain time criteria. I have also modelled myself in numerous fashion shows. During my working experience I have found that my ability to work in a team has been very beneficial to me. When everyone works together things and much more efficient and effective! As well as working for MUSE Southport I felt after two years it was time for me to gain some more experience within the industry, perhaps for a different style of store/shop. This was when I applied for a sales assistant role within Moda in Pelle. I have recently been working there for four months and have gained different styles of experience. I have had the role of opening and closing the stores concession, as well as managing a busy shop floor and delivering outstanding customer service. I am extremely interested in retail and fashion. The skills that I have already gained in my two years’ experience at Muse and my more recent experience at Moda in Pelle make me feel that I could be of value to your company, if a given chance. I look forward to hearing from you – my contact details can be found on the attached CV. Kind Regards Chloe
