What are the expectations for my role as a groomsman?

Is there a designated point of contact for groomsmen?

My expectations are for you to have fun and truly enjoy the experience. The only thing I ask is that you communicate!

I will be the main point of contact for all groomsman/wedding based questions and updates. For the Bachelor party, Justin will be the main point of contact for questions and updates.

What happens if I don’t want to be a groomsman?

How can I get in contact with everyone if I need to?

This is not mandatory. I choose you to stand up there with me because you’re my family. But I understand it can be a lot. Let me know if you feel like you want to join as a guest.

Here is a sheet with everyone’s contact information, including the contact information of the bride’s side.

Am I expected to show up at all of the events?

Do I have to stay at the same hotel as you?

You are NOT expected to show up at all of the events. Whatever works for you, financially, works for me. The only event that is required is the wedding ceremony. But please let me know ahead of time if you will or will not attend an event.

No. You do not have to stay at the same hotel.

As long as you show up on time for photos, wherever you feel most comfortable (financially and personally) is probably the best option.

There are many other accommodation options.

What does the day of the wedding look like?

What about travel?

You can join me bright and early for a morning basketball session at one of the nearby courts.

Then, feel free to chill and get dressed until an appointed time where you can join me in my room for food, drinks, and cards before the photographer arrives.

There will be a shuttle available to take us to the wedding venue. Shuttles will also be available to bring guests home, along with transport from your +1, and ride share.
