Itisrarefortheretoexistadefining momentthatchangesthetrajectoryof fourlivesatonce.Soelectricwasthe momenttheyfirstplayedtogetherarounda singlemicrophoneintheCloverlickbanjoshopbarn,theyknewtheywouldbe inseparablefromthatmomenton.
TheFretliners(TomKnowlton-guitar,SamParks-mandolin,DanAndreefiddle,TaylorShuck-bass)areagenuineandpowerfulbluegrassquartet recognizedfortheirsongwritingandchemistry.Theircamaraderieproducesan energyasinfectiousonstageasitisonrecord.In2023,theywonbothband competitionsatTellurideBluegrassandRockygrassFestivals-afeatonly accomplishedoncebefore. SaxophonistJermaineMondaine,fromMuskogee,2015single,“GoingHigher,” reachedtheTop25ontheBillboardSmoothJazzSongsandNationalAirplayCharts. Hehasreceivedmanyawards,includingtheBostonRussellJazzAwardandwas inductedintotheOklahomaBluesHallofFamein2021.
OK3,fromOklahomaCity,formedtheirgroupwhentheywere12,14,and16.The girls,SierraSikes,KennaFields,andCourtneyHooker,laterperformedonTheVoice andworkedwithJohnLegendafterreceivingafour-chairturninFebruaryof2024.

ChisholmTrailArtsCouncilevolvedfromtheDuncanArts HumanitiesCouncil,whichwasestablishedin1976.Thename waschangedandtheprogramsexpandedin1998,withamission todevelopandsustainartisticandculturalprogrammingthat servestoeducate,enlightenandunitethecommunitiesand individualsofStephensCounty.
CTACiscommittedtoenhancingthequalityoflifeintheareaby presentingprogramsthatbroadenawarenessandstrengthen communityinvolvement.
Overtheyears,StephensCountyresidentshavedemonstratedtheirsupportforCTACthrough generousin-kindcontributionsandhoursofvolunteereffort.Additionally,overhalfof CTAC'sannualoperatingbudgetisprovidedthroughindividualandcorporatememberships, aswellasadvertisingandpromotionalcontributions.CTACisanot-for-profitorganization, whichmeansyourcontributionsaretax-deductible!
