Thesis evolved with the idea of studying forms and patterns of market street systems (traditional markets) and markets corridor systems (contemporary malls), deriving program and intervention strategies by developing a series of diagramming methodology.
Traditional street markets have layers which are gradually weaved upon their facades, forming various patterns of intersections of these intermediate spaces between the road (public) and the building (private) space.
These elements are tangible in nature, which are adaptive to different situations. The idea of having an eye on the street by the user and the audience behind/above the market users-forming intermediate spaces of interactions, wherein the facades becomes areas of exchange- of materials and other social interactions.
