KENT STATE CAED ANNEX This project engages a swatch which has a density of parallel line hatches and overlapping topographic lines.

The swatches topographic lines helped deform the initial cub by informing inward steps, which created spatial variety within the interior. The swatches parallel lines create an exterior facade and the variety in density creates a moire effect in the corners.

The program is arranged by having spaces such as critique rooms, seminars, and classrooms on the first three floors, and the top four floors being studio space. Each floor has circulation space that can be used as pin up space.

OHIO CITY ESPORTS ARENA This project invites people to come inside and watch, play, and experience the upcoming world of ESports.

This arena strays away from the typical sports stadium and has a festival like ambience. There are dome shaped spaces which transfer bits of light from the inside that project to the outside. The arena also focuses on the world of virtual reality, having VR pods scattered throughout. It includes an area where people can walk on a pathway above the player’s pods and experience the games being played.

GLENWOOD GARDEN N’ GRILL This restaurant is combined with a culinary school that gives students the opporunity to use local grown ingredients to build on their cooking skills and to serve the food. By doing so, these students from low income households are able to learn essential life skills and give back to the community. Most of the ingredients are locally grown in gardens that are located in empty lots in the area.

KENT STATE MEDIA HOUSE This project began by modeling an exact replica of Frank Lloyd Wright’s S.C. Johnson Global Headquarter. We then broke it apart into various different pieces. While keeping some of the S.C. Johnson Global Headquarter’s key features, these pieces were turned into a model kit creating a completely new form.

LOOMIS STREET APARTMENTS & LOZANO BRANCH LIBRARY This project aims to combine living and library space into one site while providing privacy to residents, as well as welcoming the public to the library. The form is split into four separate masses, two residential towers, one library, and a monumental staircase connecting these pieces together.

The curves of the towers offer privacy to residents and creates opportunities to interact with the facade, as well as a basis for the structure and MEP of the building. Each residential unit is divided by a shear wall system which carries throughout the building influencing the organization of the library spaces, as well as transferring the MEP systems.
