Advantages and Disadvantages of Wet Sand Casting Wet sand using clay and a certain amount of water as the main binder, after forming in the wet conditions directly closed use. Wet sand casting has a long history and wide application. Here is to our introduce for advantages and disadvantages of two aspects. Wet sand casting has five main advantages: 1. Clay resources are very rich and cheap. 2. after proper treatment, Most of the wet sand can be recycled for reuse. 3. Production cycle is very short and high efficiency. 4. Mixing sand can be used for a long period of time. 5. After impact by the sand ,there will be a small amount of deformation but will not damage, which is very beneficial to the recovery and sand core manufacturing.

Wet Sand Casting Disadvantages: 1. When mixing the sand, the surface of the sand is covered with a thick layer of clay slurry and a high-power equipment with a friction function is required. Otherwise, good quality sand can not be obtained. 2. Due to the high strength of the sand after mixing, the sand is not easy to flow and hard to hit when molding. Moreover, manual molding is not only difficult but also requires some technology, and machine modeling requires complex large equipment.
