The Big Give Brownsville

Headquarter Committee Responsible for the setup and coordination at the Fine Art Museum for the food/drink and sign display. Location for phone/IT bank. Coordinate areas for the nonprofits to set up tables, signs etc. Coordinate a bank area. Have a 24 hour presence in the Headquarters to help all other volunteers, donors and visitors in any way needed.

Intersection Committee Responsible for getting nonprofits and other volunteers to man the intersection of Boca Chica and the freeway (&/or other intersections that may be added to the day) for the 24 hours of the Big Give.

Arrange Police presence, community leader support and presence, signs, etc. etc.

Chairman Scott Wolfe

Philanthropy Student Committee Responsible for getting the Philanthropy Students together to sell the message bracelets at school and to come to the Kick-Off, along with the Cheerleaders and ROTC members of each high school‌and to make signs for the school campus, etc‌during the day of the Big Give.

Chairman Adrian Dorsett & Erika Sikes

Mall Committee Responsible for contacting Mall management about setting up two to three stations at the main entrances.

To have tables and signage and nonprofit and other volunteers to sell the message bracelets and take donations during the day of the Big Give. Have students coordinated to attend the Kick-off and/or Closing of The Big Give.

Retail Store Committee Responsible for making a list of retail stores and contacting the stores to have nonprofit volunteers available at the doors with message bracelets and collection boxes during the day of the Big Give.

Bank Committee Responsible for making a list of all local banks and contacting them to have nonprofit volunteers available at the doors or in the lobbies with message bracelets and collection boxes during the day of the Big Give‌etc

Professional Committee Responsible for making a list of local professionals and having nonprofit volunteers and other volunteers go by the offices with message bracelets and collection boxes during the day of the Big Give asking for a contribution and inviting those who give to the Conclusion party of the Big Give that evening.

IT Committee Responsible for the social media operations, the online funding operations and power-point and video presentations.

Sponsorship Committee Responsible for making a list of local professionals, foundations, and commercial entities that may sponsor and donate to the Big Give‌inviting those who give to the Conclusion party of the Big Give that evening to make their presentations‌etc
