What is Child Heart Foundation?

• Child Heart Foundation is a Delhi based registered NGO built to help children born with congenital heart disease belonging to underprivileged families.

• Our aim is to raise funds for the poor families who are unable to bear the high heart treatment cost of their children.

Our Impact • Under PraDAAN™ screened more than 15000 children for CHD. • Under CHF HRIDAAN™ program we are able to do 39 heart surgeries so far.

Anand Lepcha needed 2 Lakhs for his heart surgery • Anand Lepcha was diagnosed with PDA which caused him breathing issues and had a deadly effect on his lungs and his heart.

• Anand's heart was at high risk of failure.

• The amount of money required for his urgent heart surgery was Rs. 2,00,000.

• Child Heart Foundation came forward for his help and raised this money and his surgery was successfully done.

Ampriyal needed 1.6 Lakhs for his heart surgery • Ampriyal, 7 months old child used to feel breathless on crying for long time in pain.

• He was diagnosed with severe heart disorder which was due to a large opening between the two blood vessels leading from his heart.

• The estimate for his heart surgery was Rs. 1.6 lakhs. Child Heart Foundation helped him and his heart surgery was done.

Samim Latif needed 3 Lakhs for his heart surgery • Samim Latif was born with a heart disease called tricuspid atresia in which blocks blood flow from the right atrium to the right ventricle.

• Samim used to get breathless on crying.

• He needed 3 lakhs for his heart surgery.

• Samim father, a roadside shoe seller could never afford this huge amount for the surgery.

• Child Heart Foundation raised this amount and he was treated successfully.

Amit Burman needed Balloon Angioplasty to live • For Amit Burman 5 years old, it started with common cold, cough and breathlessness.

• They went to a local doctor where he was diagnosed with heart problem and doctor told them to do Balloon Angioplasty immediately.

• His father is a farmer with monthly income of just Rs. 5000 per month.

• Child Heart Foundation helped them for his heart surgery.

Sourav needed 2.2 Lakhs for his heart surgery • Sourav is a 11 months old boy, born with a hole in heart.

• Estimated cost of the heart surgery doctor told was 2.2 lakhs which his father was unable to collect as he works in a DTH company as daily wager.

• The family reached out to Child Heart Foundation for help.

• We raised funds and he was successfully operated on 15-0419. He is now discharged and doing well.

Satwinder Kaur needed 5 Lakhs for second heart surgery • Satwinder, 24-years-old girl belongs to Chhandaran near Ludhiana, Punjab.

• At the age of 4 months she was diagnosed with congenital heart disease.

• Her first surgery was done in the year 2012.

• Again she needed heart surgery as the hole in the heart was not filled completely. Doctors had estimated the cost of the surgery as 5 lakhs which was unimaginable to raise.

• Child Heart Foundation helped her in her surgery and she got treated in March 2019.

We are on a mission  To treat each and every child suffering with heart disease.  To educate the next generation of leaders in child health specifically for under privileged people.  To uplift Pediatric Cardiology through technological and scientific advancement to achieve international standards of care.  Become the helping hand of the Government bodies to treat underprivileged children born with CHD.  Educating medical community about Pediatric cardiology to help early diagnosis and spread awareness.  Generate philanthropy for children born with congenital heart disease.
