Prior to beginning the building’s design, I recalled doing a unique experiment in which a yellow butterfly landed for almost three minutes. For this reason, I chose to use butterflies as the project’s living organism. I did research and discovered that the yellow butterfly species known as the monarch has a unique summer and winter habitat.
Humans and butterflies have a special relationship. Butterflies stand for transition, change, and hope. If a butterfly lands on you, it can be a hopeful message or guidance from the after- life of a departed loved one. It is believed that people can experinement this in this building. I then created an environment where humans and butterflies may interact to allow people to experiment with this.
It is a multipurpose building with lots of common spaces and apartments that enable people to engage and form close relationships with butterflies. There is plenty of room for a garden in this building because research indicates that monarch butterflies need space to live and milkweed family plants are important to them.

A ten-storey mixed-use building, complemented by a small open green space, can create a positive first impression for users and serve as an attractive element that draws people into the site

Deconstructing one of the external walls allows two houses to be combined into a shared space, while removing the fence, an element often disliked in Aboriginal culture, creates openness and connection

After deconstruction, the site will be transformed into a big co-living space, where residents can share a communal garden that fosters interaction and communication among all groups

In representation II, I was assigned to develop a two stroey house with garden. This include 150-200 floor area with architectural elements and landscaping, which include soft landscape, driveway and entry.
In this course, I develop my interest in landscaping. I enjoy doing landscape architecture, expically, after I designed the two story house in a curvy shape. Landscaping surround the curve shape wall help to emphasise the shape. Moreover, adding pavers as a walking pathway from the house to the outdoor resting area and barbeque area make me understand the importance of the circulation of the whole site.

The Spirituality and Wellbeing Centre is located at Mount Osmond Reserve, offering panoramic views of Adelaide. The steep site was reshaped into three terraces, each supporting different functions. The design emphasises connection, reflection, and comfort, linking buildings with outdoor spaces that support both meditation and community. At the highest level, meditation gardens provide sunlight, quietness, and views for personal reflection. Native plants such as Austral Bracken and Beaked Hakea create sustainable green spaces.
The middle level contains active facilities—the restaurant, gym, and pool—where people can gather while enjoying the outlook. The lower level holds the visitor’s quarters, oriented northwest to capture the most striking views. Walkways, pavilions, pools, and resting areas further encourage social interaction. This project deepened my interest in designing sustainable landscapes and architecture that balance beauty, spirituality, and human wellbeing.
The special character of the site is the topography. In the design, the meditation areas are at the higher level of the site, people can have a stronger feeling if they meditation at the high point. Retaining walls are built, restaurant, the gym and the pool are at the middle level because these are the facilities building, they can busy their things but can also enjoy the view and the visitor’s quarter are in the lower level facing northwest where the most brilliant view sit on.

There is a serious housing issue in Adelaide which is the houses are more and more unaffortable. This affet Cryodon Parkhosuing price as well. Becasue of the issue of increasing housing price in Cryodon Park, Co Living space is desgined in the site. The concept of co- living is a large property that offers private bedrooms to individuals. But the kitchen, living rooms & other recreational spaces are meant to be shared. Moreover, sharing garden, balcony and backyard will also apply as the strategy in this project. B ecasue most poeple in Croydon Park is about 20-39, this Co Living space will be target for young adult. This
Young adult can share space to improve comunication in Co- Living Space. Two strories housing and terrance will be consider in the proposed ideas which can have more young adult to live in and communicate and understand each other. However, the existing site is lack of walking pathway and vegetation, which is a barrier for them to completly enjoying and relax in their most safed place. In order to change this suitation, more shared area and public sapce and greenery will be consider in the proposed ideas.

In Representation III, I was assigned to make 2 physical models using foam and each model must also use a seconddary materials, which I used wooden stick and plastic. Moreover, I was assinged “commands” as prompts, which I choose carve for the foam, substract for the wooden stick and deform for the plastic.

Then I produce 6 renders of the physical models. Synagogue Place was chosen to be the site in the Adelaide CBD. I then create a series of visualisations of the physical models and the site using Blender in order to produce the renders and elevations.

I am a designer who believes that architecture can be anything, shaped by colour, form, craft, and imagination. My hobbies in colour studies, origami, and fashion design help me understand form, texture, structure, and movement, all of which influence my architectural thinking. Including them in my portfolio shows the creative foundations that guide my design approach and express who I am as an emerging architect.

Colour is an essential architectural tool that shapes atmosphere and clarity. the four drawings above show how i use colour to highlight key spaces and strengthen the overall design.

Origami in architecture shows how folded geome try can inspire new spatial forms. The models above come from my previous design, where colour and folding worked together to generate architectural ideas.

Fashion design influences how I think about form, texture, and movement in architecture. The designs above explore volume and layering, elements that also translate into my spatial ideas.
