Let’s Cook Together

Each week you will receive a recipe card to help you create a simple and delicious family meal.

You will be able to join Sarah in her kitchen showing you how to follow the recipe with our weekly virtual cooking club. You will improve your cooking skills and be able to lead a family cooking activity.

Quiz Night You can take part in our quiz, feel free to invite anyone else you live with. Each quiz will be based on different topics with the aim of having some laughs and spending time together (virtually) with your young carer friends.

Let’s get fit Each week you can join our yoga session (now that’s something your school friends won’t be doing this summer) plus our daily TikTok uploads where you can even send us your videos showing your best dance moves and sport skills. How cool is that!

All videos and tutorials will be uploaded to Cheshire Young Carers YouTube channel daily. If you create an account you will be notified when we have new videos! Watch them anytime you have an account too.

Let’s get started

Suprises Every Week!

Each week you will receive a special package from us with fun items for session activities plus more surprise treats because we think you deserve to be spoilt occasionally. It will be delivered to your door so watch out for the post, so you get to it first. Our digital activity packs will also be sent to you each week by email.

Once you have enrolled in the Summer 2020 Festival you will receive a parcel delivered to your front door containing many of the items you need for our activities. Plus, you will find a hidden treat so make sure you get to the parcel when it arrives before anybody else!

Virtual Reality You will receive a special virtual reality set that works with most mobile phones to take you to places all over the world. Each week you will be able to see amazing sights and experiences from the safety of your chair at home. It’s a truly amazing experience.

Minecraft We will be hosting CYC Minecraft sessions which you will be able to join from any device. If you already have a Minecraft subscription there will be no extra cost for you to join in the fun!

We will create and build our CYC Minecraft world together with some exciting challenges along the way.

Let’s stay well Now more than ever young carers need to stay well both physically and mentally so each week there will be special activities to help you stay well. Manage your emotions, control your temper, and understand the world around you better.

It’s about being healthy and happy so let’s work together to stay well, and have fun doing it!

HOW YOU CAN WIN

Each week we will send you a cheat sheet with some tips and tricks to take some great photos of your young carer engaging in the Summer Festival. Every week we will pick a winner of the best photo who will win a professional photoshoot of their family!

The photoshoot will occur when lock down restrictions are lifted, and you will receive all your edited digital copies! There will be a winner chosen every week so make sure you keep sending in your photos, the more photos you send the more chances you have of winning!
