Studentshadtheopportunitytoask questionsdirectedateitheronememberofthe panelorgenerallytoallmemberstofindoutmore informationspecifictowhattheywouldliketodo.It wasareallyinterestingandusefulformat.
On11thOctober,SamandCarysClark,whoare membersofouralumni,spoketoYear13about theirtimesinceleavingCGS Sinceleaving,Sam hasattendedLoughboroughUniversitytostudy AutomotiveEngineeringwhichhehasthoroughly enjoyed.CurrentlySamisworkingatRMLgroupfor hisplacementyear,whoemploymanufacturing anddesignengineerstoproducecustomcarsfor motorsportorconsumers.Hespokeaboutthe importanceofwhatuniversityyouattendas,tohis knowledge,RMLgrouponlyhirestudentsfrom LoughboroughandBathUniversity Carys,Sam’s sister,studiedmusicatSouthamptonUniversity andisnowlookingtobealawyerwithinthemusic industryandwasavailabletospeaktoafterthe lecture.

InOctoberwehavebeenrunningsmallgroup workshopswithMrRitchie,ourindependentcareers adviser.Hetakesthestudentsthroughthevarious pathwaysthatareonoffertothemaftertheir GCSEs.TheseincludeALevelchoices,localcollege courses(BTEC&T-Levels)andapprenticeships.
