Sandra Brue
Internationally renowned San Diego artist Sandra Brue has been bringing sculptures to life for over 30 years. She founded Sandicast in 1981; her hand-cast, hand-painted animal replicas became famous for their stunning realism and incredible attention to detail. Queen Elizabeth and President Clinton are just a few of the many celebrities that cherish Sandicast animals.
Most of the pieces in the Sandicast Collection were sculpted by Sandy; all were inspired by her devotion to bringing our animal sculptures “to life.”

Sandicast is helping to support the wonderful animals that are the inspiration for our company by contributing 5% of the sales of specific sculptures – they are noted in the catalog – to the ASPCA. Together we can make a difference.

For our most recent test we used SGS (based in Geneva, Switzerland), the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company with over 1,000 laboratories around the globe. Their tests confirmed that the paint Sandicast uses complies with both U.S. and International standards of safety - exceeding all U.S. EPA guidelines.
