Joseph E. Brown Park

Born in 1821 in South Carolina, Joseph E. Brown grew up in Georgia where he taught school and read law at night. He was elected State Senator, Judge of the Superior Court, and Governor during the Civil War. His home stood near the current park. 251 East Marietta Street

Riverview Cemetery

One of the county’s oldest historic cemeteries and final resting place of many pioneer citizens and their descendants. Lovely markers are carved from marble quarried locally. Start your Brew Tour at Reformation Brewery’s research and development facility, located in the heart of downtown Woodstock. Enjoy two bars, a deck, and a beer garden that frequently provides live music. There are usually 16 selections on tap, plus cans, hard seltzers, and mocktails. Queenie’s BBQ offers food in the loft above the brewery.

In Woodstock’s downtown, find a growing mix of shopping and dining venues, beer gardens, and an outdoor amphitheater, along with a calendar full of entertaining events. The art galleries and live performances are a great reason to visit.

If wine or bourbon is more your flavor, head over to the rooftop bar at Rootstock.
