Annual Meeting of Members
The Chemung County Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting of Members is the Chamber’s largest gathering of member businesses, highlighting the Chamber’s accomplishments and vision for the future. The event features a Keynote speaker and the induction of inspiring business leaders into the Chamber’s Board of Directors. Business After Business Reception
It’s a fun, relaxed, and informal gathering designed to help businesses connect with 50-150 members and guests, build relationships, and expand their networks. These events offer an excellent opportunity to showcase your business while creating an enjoyable atmosphere for all attendees.
As the host of a Business After Business event, you have a chance to elevate your brand, introduce your products or services, and create lasting connections with other local businesses and professionals. The Event typically host between 50-100 members at each gathering. Over the course of the year, we hold 15-20 of these events.

Why Host a Business After Business Event?
• Brand Exposure: Showcase your business to a wide audience of potential customers, partners, and collaborators.

Key Responsibilities for Hosts:
Refreshments: You are responsible for providing appetizers, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages (juices, soda, water).
This is a networking event, so it’s important to offer refreshments that encourage mingling and socializing
Door Prizes: Please provide two-three door prizes from your business or a partner business. This adds an exciting element to the event and encourages engagement.
Supporting Local Members: Where possible, please consider purchasing food and beverages from Chamber of Commerce member restaurants or caterers. A Chamber team member can provide recommendations.
Planning for Attendance: While exact numbers can be unpredictable, it’s better to plan for a larger crowd (50-100 people) to ensure there’s enough food and drink for everyone. You’re encouraged to invite your customers, vendors, family, and friends!
Coffee Connection
Each quarter, the Chamber hosts a free, informal conversation and networking session from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., offering light refreshments and coffee for attendees. This relaxed gathering welcomes all members to get the inside scoop on member benefits, have your queries addressed, and make new connections! It’s an excellent opportunity for those who enjoy a more personal morning setting or are unable to attend evening events.

Educational Series
The Educational Series is one of the most valuable events the Chamber offers its members and the Chemung County community. Each year, the Chemung Chamber strives to provide opportunities for members to learn about various issues that affect local businesses and their employees. Leadership Chemung
For more than three decades, Leadership Chemung has developed individuals for future leadership roles in Chemung County and the Southern Tier by broadening their knowledge and awareness of the community and honing their leadership skills. Leadership Chemung implements a curriculum incorporating local leaders to help participants in various topics designed to develop and enhance their skills and knowledge for leadership roles in their professional lives. Business Education Roundtable
The Business Education Roundtable (BER) cultivates a crucial dialogue between local business and education community members. The committee meets throughout the year to share information, gain reciprocal understanding of challenges and successes, develop vital partnerships, pragmatically analyze workforce development needs, and implement solutions. As we navigate Workforce Development and Skills Training issues in the Southern Tier Region and to develop the workforce for the future, the relationship between business and education becomes even more critical to our success. Public Affairs Council
No single factor has a greater impact on members’ bottom lines than government. Legislation and regulations significantly affect economic growth. The Public Affairs Council (PAC) studies relevant issues, drafts policy proposals and advocates positions on behalf of member firms. PAC relentlessly explores issues and advocates on behalf of business and the prosperity of the Southern Tier. We partner with local and statewide organization to make sure the voice of business is heard. Relocation Program
The Chamber receives approximately 300 inquires annually from prospective newcomers who contact the Chamber office for relocation packet information about our community. Area employers such as Arnot Health, CAF USA, and others also contribute to the distribution of these packets to prospective and new hires, ensuring they receive comprehensive information to settle smoothly into the area.
Your brochure will be included in a special Relocation Packet mailed to each individual who requests relocation information about the area.
