HONDROUMEROULA ON YOGA BEGINNERSFOR Find the style of yoga that works best for you. Just like the teacher, not every style is for you. Personally, I love to fire up the body and sweat so Power Vinyasa and Yoga Sculpt classes are my go-to. Pay attention to how you feel during and post-class, listen to your body and how it responds. The saying “yoga finds you when you need it most” is 100 per cent true. Don’t be alarmed if you feel extra sensitive and more anxious than usual when you’re beginning your yoga journey – you’re also just starting or deepening your own healing journey, even if you don’t realise it. Be compassionate with yourself through it all. Play and have fun with it. I always begin my classes by saying “guys, just have fun with it, don’t take it too seriously”. In the beginning, you’ll probably get a little impatient with yourself, but try to find the fun in it. This is a chance to leave behind whatever stresses you have. There’s so much freedom in doing this.

“The Black Seed Toner is great for calming the skin and has anti-inflammatory properties, which is ideal as inflammatory irritations are the leading causes of hyperpigmentation in more melanated skin. It was important for me to work with ingredients that address the concerns of di erent skin types,” says Sabrina.“Toner wasn’t something I ever used before we created ours” says Idris.“But now that it’s part of my routine, I can really see the benefits after shaving.’’ Discover the full range at uk.sablelabs.co

With certain vintages soaring in value, fine wines and rare whisky are attracting a new generation of collectors

Which is where fine wines and rare whisky come in. With the renewed interest in wine and whisky collecting and investing spurred by the pandemic, certain expressions and vintages have seen values skyrocket. Not surprisingly, Champagne and Burgundy remain two of the most sought-after and bestselling in the wine investment sphere, with limited releases by the Macallan comfortably leading the whisky rise. And the most traded fine wines of the last year, according to Liv-ex, included Lafite Rothschild, Petrus, Screaming Eagle, Mouton Rothschild, Sassicaia, and Taittinger.

London Barrelhouse introduces access to the wineand whisky investing world through offering best in-class procurement and storage, coupled with the industry first “buy back policy”. When asked about the motivating factors drawing investors into asset classes such as fine wine and rare whisky, co-founder Peter Charalambous says that three issues are driving interest: “diversification and low correlation during market corrections” combined with “double-digit annualised returns over the past two decades” and “younger generations investing in ideas and products that they are passionate about”.

Fo r more information on how to start your journey into fine wine and rare whisky, get in touch with London Barrelhouse, 15 The Broadway, Woodford Green, London IG8 0HL. Tel: 020 4518 1333

I t is estimated that $70 trillion of wealth will be transferred from baby boomers to millennials in the next 25 years. Conscious of this, savvy investors are seeking less traditional asset classes to put their money into, and the diversification strategies to do so are progressively becoming more unique.

Investing in whisky is a hot topic right now, with Scotch producing annual returns of 15.4 per cent over the past decade, with limited editions by the Macallan seeing four-fold increases on the secondary market weeks after being newly released.

With captivating returns and the allure of owning rare vintages, the fine wine and rare whisky industry is set to continue its rise in popularity.

Through consultations Carpe Diem Beds invites customers to spend time and unwind in either the Marylebone flagship or the newly opened Harrods concession. For the complete experience, it is recommended one or two hours are set aside. If customers are still unable to decide, sleep sessions are available. Once in the bed, you should be able to switch off your mind, and merely listen to your body. With an array of legs, headboards, 36 fabrics and functions, these beds are designed to be as beautiful to look at as they are to sleep in. Carpe Diem Beds offers a full bedroom design experience so that you can create your individual sanctuary where you can unwind. As beautiful as they are innovative, these beds are handmade to order and are fully customizable to your needs, from beautiful nature-inspired fabrics from the Designers Guild and The Romo Group to an array of bed linen, bedroom accessories, and furniture.

Carpe Diem Beds was born from founder Börje Thuleskar’s deep understanding of human anatomy and physiology. The young, entrepreneurial chiropractor set sail for Stora Kornö, a small island off the west coast town of Lysekil. Kornö is characterised by its shoreline’s soft, rolling cliffs and crevasses. After finding the perfect picnic spot, Börje laid his blanket over a bed of heather. Noticing how rejuvenated he felt, Carpe Diem Beds was created to mimic the weightlessness Börje had experienced on the picturesque island landscape. The quest took thousands of hours and a partnership with the Spinal Unit at Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Sweden. The final result is Carpe Diem Beds’ patented Contour Pocket System, which has a unique cushioning ability. It gently yields and supports at the same time, instantly moulding to your body’s contours and changing with your every movement.
