PARTY TIME: CAROLE MIDDLETON
Hot chocolate snowmen By Annabel Karmel
Prep Time: 20 minutes • Cook Time: 5 minutes •Makes: 3 hot chocolates
INGREDIENTS: Hot chocolate • 1 litre milk • 4 tbsp drinking chocolate • Sugar, to taste (optional) Snowmen • Pretzel sticks • 9 medium-sized marshmallows • Orange jelly beans • 50g dark chocolate chips • Cocktail sticks
METHOD To make the snowmen, thread three marshmallows onto a cocktail stick. Using a spare cocktail stick, make small holes for your arms and legs and nose. Insert pretzel sticks into the holes for the arms and legs and an orange jelly bean for the nose. Using a chocolate icing pen, draw on the snowman’s buttons, eyes and mouth. Place to one side. For the hot chocolate, put the milk into a pan. Bring it to a simmer, then spoon in 4 tablespoons of drinking chocolate and stir until dissolved. Place the snowmen on top of your mugs and serve (be careful to remove the cocktail stick for little ones before tucking in). For lots more food inspiration, visit annabelkarmel.com

WHETHER YOU’VE RECENTLY ENJOYED SOME VALUABLE FAMILY time skiing, sledding, snowboarding and, of course, cosying up in front of the re with warm blankets and hot drinks, or are about to endure an epic ski family ski trip, it also makes a great seasonal party theme.
