Fioricet: A Treatment of Headaches and Migraines
What is Fioricet? Fioricet is a drug prescribed to treat tension headaches or mild migraines. It provides relaxation in the muscles and thus provides relief from pain. This medicine is a combination of three elements, including acetaminophen (the pain reliever), butalbital (a barbiturate), and caffeine (a stimulant).
How to take Fioricet? The doctor prescribes to take one or two tablets for adults. You can take it every four to six hours as per your requirement. Do not exceed the limit of the total daily dosage that is six tablets per day. It is advised to take medicine with water or milk to avoid gastric problems. In case you miss a dose, skip the missed dose, and continue with your regular schedule of doses.
