For me, architecture is not just about creating beautiful spaces, but about understanding the context and designing environments that enhance people's lives. It’s about connecting nature, culture, and human experience, ensuring that every design we create fosters sustainability and creativity, ultimately enriching the quality of life in every aspect.

KOH SAMUI, SURAT THANI, THAILAND

A village on Koh Samui blends traditional southern Thai architecture with modern design, using local materials to preserve heritage and create a strong sense of place for residents.
The project fosters a community-oriented atmosphere by designing shared spaces that promote interaction and a sense of belonging.

“CHONNABOT”

“A village designed to foster kinship, blending traditional southern Thai houses with modern elements while using local materials to preserve their authentic charm ” CONTEXT
Koh Samui's traditional dwellings reflect its historical charm, with southern Thai houses showcasing the island’s architectural heritage. Known for its coconuts, the island once cultivated rice, but modern land sales to investors have led to a shift in land use

Houses today have evolved with changing times but the essence of southern Thai architecture is preserved. This is evident in both local homes and modern hotels and resorts on Koh Samui where traditional elements are adapted to contemporary styles

HOMEY SUSTAINABLE
The design fosters a sense of community by placing homes close together and offering shared spaces for communal activities.

The design adapts to its environment, using local materials to create architecture that coexists harmoniously with nature.

ZONING

CONCEPT

The twin houses, inspired by traditional Thai architecture, adapt to the site's dense surroundings. One house features a central courtyard for green space, while the other is elevated with open space beneath and surrounding trees for airflow. The use of concrete and wood in the two houses reflects changing times.
A traditional Thai house with a central courtyard for planting trees, providing shade and cooling, while surrounding trees allow the wind to bring cool air into the home.

“BECOME CALM INSIDE BY MINIMIZING THE CHAOS OUTSIDE”

Carving out the center between the house
The building is elevated with open underfloor space, and surrounding trees allow the wind to bring cool air into the house

Carving the bottom to elevate the building
The building is elevated with open space underneath, and trees are planted around it to allow cool air to flow into the house.

LUMPHINI RD., BANGKOK, THAILAND

The hotel design connects people and nature by incorporating green spaces and linking to Lumphini Park. Openings and cutouts are used to foster interaction between functions and visitors.

RAMA IV RD., BANGKOK, THAILAND

The convention center combines Thai identity with a modern gable roof and a landscape design that transitions visitors from the city to nature, leading to the Chao Phraya River.
