When you uproot what you’ve known for the last 20 years of your life and drop it in the middle of a new city you’ve never experienced before, it’s called re-inventing yourself.

Now what? As I began figuring out this new version of myself, I got inspired by all of the options I could choose from.

But what’s so interesting about deciding who this new version of yourself is, there’s reality, and then there’s the romanticized version. I’ve been able to blend the two pretty seamlessly over the last 4 years and it brought me my magazine.

Now, on the cusp of 30, I’m entering womanhood and all of those precious life moments are happening all at once. Im now navigating those life moments and understanding how to keep Nahdya true to herself, while soon to take on a new last name, and bring my very own offspring into the world.

The question is still being answered everyday, but, She never gives up on elevating herself, she is constantly seeing her dreams and visions come to life, and she embraces the creativity of others as they share the creative genius in their hearts.

When I think back to all the years of my life, where i’ve gone through phases of significant personal change, I wished I had a magazine like this one

A guide book that can help me really figure out what would work for me And fit my personality. It’s always interesting to me how you truly don’t stay the same.

From the way you think, to the guys you date, and the rules you set and break over and over again. It makes you realize how much you really do change

Going into my next phase of adulthood, I definitely DON’T have everything figured out but I have a sense of calmness that I’ve never had before. It’s like I’ve grasped that bullshit is going to happen, there will be things that go wrong, people will have negative shit to say about you. But, none of that has power over how I think about myself, accomplishing my dreams, or can permanently stop me from being me.

I’ve also grasped that my energy is precious, how I feel is temporary and almost all experiences that made me feel inferior or incapable or made me second guess myself, are not worth holding on to Moving forward and forgiveness is the only path that’s going to bring me something back in return

What i’ve learned about myself since starting this magazine is that my passion truly revolves around giving other people opportunities to share what makes them passionate. And in one lifetime, how many opportunities do we really get where someone places you and your work on a pedestal for others to stop and stare?

The only way for me to be in this world is without regrets, self-doubt and embracing who I am As you go throughout your life re-inventing yourself over and over and over again, remember that you ’ re adding to your story and everyday is a new opportunity to do so. Don’t be scared, LIVE! Live to the fullest no matter what and consistently give yourself grace, love, and damn good outfit!

Q: What has been your latest re-invention so far this year?

A: I would consider like my new improved body a reinvention because it's been a long journey, you know, coming as a trans woman who I was back in 20 19, 2020 to who I am today in 2024. I'm loving who I am today. I'm out here doing my thing.

Q: What has been the most difficult aspect of re-inventing yourself?

A: I do think about the criticism of others, you know, of the public, you know, but you can't let that get you down You have to stay strong, focus and knock out any negative energy and you gonna be good and stay prayed up I always put God first and my family and friends.

Q: Do you have advice for someone thinking about re-inventing themselves?

A: Be true to yourself. Be authentic and be brave. Don't be scared of what other people gotta say or what your family may think Just do you and everything will come together one step at a time.

Q: If you could go back in time and talk to your 13 year old self, what would you say?

A: If I can go back in time and talk to myself at age 13, wow. I will tell her you got it and I know you not so me cry girl Hold on I would say just really just walk in your truth and be yourself Don't be as scared Don't be scared of what others going to say in your family.

Q: Working on accomplishing any dreams at the moment?

A: Ooh, I have a lot of dreams, but the one on top of my list that I pray in manifest every single day is to get my record, deal with a major label and go on a world tour and have my own album.
