SWIMMING, SNORKELING AND SCUBA DIVING
- St Francis Main beach, Canals, the Cove, Kromme River Mouth alias Nonno's Beach, Hobie Beach, Ann Avenue, Main Beach, Granny's Pool or Cape St Francis Main Beach.
- The rock pools on the wild side are ideal for snorkeling.
KITE BOARDING, WINDSURFING, SURFSKI AND PADDLING
- The Kromme River and Cape St Francis are the places for kite boarding.
- The Kromme River can be navigated for 8km to the Geelhout River
- Explore the Canals i.e. boat, canoe, swimming.
- Paddlers launch from the Granny's Pool slipway or from the main beach.
SURFING & BODY BOARDING THE GREAT SPOTS
- Granny's Pool: start here to surf main beach
- Seal Point (Cape St Francis): fine right hand walls on the point, hollow lefts and rights in the beach break.
- Bruce's Beauties: it only needs a decent Easterly swell to get the most perfect wave!
WALKING AND HIKING
- St Francis Main Beach to the Kromme River Mouth
- Two Harbour Walk between Granny's Pool and Port St Francis: start either way
- Sharks Point - from Port St Francis all along the coastline to the Point.
- Cape St Francis beach, cross the main beach and proceed to the lighthouse.
- Nature Reserve: You can get through to the Seal Bay Reserve or onto the Cape St Francis Beach.
- Find the remains of the Cape Recife Shipwreck - from Lighthouse walk to Rocky Coast Farm.
- Follow the footpaths in the Irma Booysen Wild Flower Reserve and enjoy the indigenous fynbos.
- The Seal Bay Nature Reserve has a fairy forest feel, and all the trees are well marked.
- A walk up the Sand River will lead to some archaeological sites and Khoisan middens.
- A walk to Jeffreys Bay will take you up to three hours and is an easy walk.
- A 20km walk on a dirt road will take you to Oyster Bay,
- Chokka Trail - A 62km slackpack hiking holiday over 4 days/3 nights between Oyster Bay, St Francis Bay and Cape St Francis
MOUNTAIN AND ROAD BIKING
- Numerous dirt roads, single tracks and jeep tracks are waiting to be explored.
FISHING
- The tidal Kromme River is good for fly fishing, trawling from kayaks or light tackle fishing.
- Deep sea fishing charters are available from Port St Francis.
- For surf fishing main beach in both St Francis and Cape St Francis.
- Rock fishing can be done in front of Santareme, Otters Landing towards Shark Point and the Wild Side.
