Ready for your first sip? Texas A&M Corpus Christi is now serving Driftwood Coffee – an ethically sourced specialty coffee that currently brews at Islander university. Founder and alum Randi Carroll is committed to not only producing superior tasting coffee but also giving back to the community she lives in and loves.

What began as a hobby for Randi and her husband, Steven, has percolated into a successful business. The company name, Driftwood Coffee, was inspired by the beautiful driftwood scattered across the coastal bend. Their focus has been partnering with international companies to create positive change in developing countries. They are proud to honor the hard work of unique cultures.

can provide sustainable coffee options, including light, dark and decaffeinated roasts. She also has a signature medium blend only available on the island (so give this one a try). Randi hopes that her story inspires fellow Islanders to give back to their communities and even encourages some other A&M entrepreneurs.
With a soft spot for Texas A&M Corpus Christi, Randi wanted to reconnect with the campus and community that inspired her and gave her so many opportunities as a student. She is excited that through this partnership she Driftwood Coffee today is now brewing at the Market in the O’Connor Building as well as Hemisphere’s Café in Island Hall. It is also being served exclusively at catered events hosted by Islander Dining.
