2006 - FRESHMAN Batted .386 in his lone full season at Itawamba while primarily playing second base...Coached at Itawamba by Rick Collier. HIGH SCHOOL Graduated from Booneville High School in Booneville, Miss., where he was coached by Rick Coggin and Bo Sandlin...Two-time All-State and All-Area selection...Was voted the team’s Defensive MVP in his junior and senior seasons... Also played football, helping Booneville to consecutive state championship game appearances in 2004 and 2005...Earned All-State honors as a defensive back during his senior season in 2005 and also set a state record with 13 interceptions...Served as a high school class representative and also was active in Quill & Scroll and FCA.
