Four Different Camps . . .

Young Adventurers Camps (Rising Primary and Transitional Kindergarten)

Designed for campers to grow in curiosity through play, imagination, and hands-on exploration in a warm, nurturing environment

Each week features exciting themed activities, including water days, nature walks, creative arts and crafts, and fun-filled field trips that spark curiosity and wonder.

A quiet nap time is offered to help our youngest adventurers recharge. With both full-day and half-day options, it’s the perfect blend of learning, adventure, and care—tailored to support happy, confident early learners.

Full-day camps include lunch. Half-day camps run from 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. OR 1:00–4:00 p.m.

Traditional Camps (Rising MK-8 Students)

Campers will experience the classic summer camp vibe with games, crafts, and outdoor adventures packed with variety, excitement, and memorable adventures!

Each week features engaging activities and off-campus field trips, along with special surprises such as karaoke parties, ice cream and snow cone pop-ups, picnic days, and more.

Families can choose the schedule that best fits their needs, with both full-day and half-day options available.

Full-day camps include lunch. Half-day camps run from 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. OR 1:00–4:00 p.m.

All full-time campers will enjoy free lunch daily in our new state-of-the art cafeteria, “The Lair.” Snack will also be provided to all campers in the morning and the afternoon.

Rising or graduated 8th graders can participate in our unique Junior Counselor program and all traditional campers can participate in our optional Midsummer Tune-Up tutoring sessions For more details go to page 8.

Midsummer Tune-Up Tutoring Program

Additionally, all campers can benefit from our optional Midsummer Tune-Up tutoring sessions, designed to keep skills sharp. It’s everything you love about summer—wrapped into one unforgettable program!

When registering for a Traditional Camp, families may choose to add morning academic sessions to enrich their camper’s day. All tutoring sessions are run by Charlotte Prep teachers and will consist of small groups of 6 or less students, ensuring personalized, focused attention.

Full-day Traditional Camps at a reduced rate of $300 per week

Rising or graduated 8th graders can participate in The Junior Counselor Program.

This program offers our older campers leadership opportunities and hands-on experience, while they assist counselors with the younger campers in our Traditional Camps. This is a great way to hone your leadership skills, start working on that resume, and just enjoy a final summer here at Charlotte Prep.

What is Summer Adventures at Prep?

Summer Adventures is our summer offering at Charlotte Prep. We offer seven weeks of Early School, Specialty, Traditional, and Athletic summer camps, with full-day and half-day options, from June 8 to July 31. Please note that the camp is closed on June 19 and from June 29 to July 3.

What’s new this year?

This year, we are proud to offer our Young Adventurers camps for our youngest campers and our Athletic Adventurers camps for those campers seeking a sporty summer experience.

Is my current Extended-Day student already registered for Summer Adventures at Prep?

No, the Extended-Day Program no longer includes registration for Summer Adventures at Prep. All current Extended-Day students MUST be registered for camp through the registration website. For more information, please attend the Young Adventurers Camp Information Meeting on January 22 at 5:30 p.m. in the Lower School Cafeteria, “The Lair.”

What are camp hours?

Full Day: 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

Half Day (morning): 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.

Half Day (afternoon): 1:00–4:00 p.m.

Will there be early drop-off and late pick-up?

Yes, available at additional cost.

Before care is between 8:00 a.m.–9:00 a.m.

After care pick-up is between 4:00–5:00 p.m.

What grade levels can sign up for Summer Adventures at Prep?

Young Adventurers Camp is open Primary to and Transitional Kindergarten students. All rising MK-8 students are eligible to sign up for traditional summer camps. Grade levels are listed for each of our themed and athletic camps in their descriptions.

When is payment due and is there a refund policy?

Payment is due at the time of registration. Refunds are available up to two weeks before camp starts. A refund fee of $150 will apply per camper.

Is lunch included in the registration fee?

Lunch is provided for all full-day campers in our all-new, state-of-the-art cafeteria, “the Lair.” We will also offer a morning and afternoon snack for all campers.
