STEP 1 Login from the “MyLatin” link on www.charlottelatin.org. (Please use your personal login username and password for the best results.)
STEP 2 Automatically access the Parent Portal (“Home” Tab view) (The Parent Portal provides news and information for all Charlotte Latin parents.)
STEP 3 Access your “MyDashboard” to view your personal Activity Stream and Daily Calendar. From the Parent Portal click: the “MyDashboard” button OR the “Groups” button>”Groups Dashboard” in your Account Bar. The Account Bar is a black bar that is identified by your name.) (From your MyDashboard, click the gray square “Portal” link at the top of the page to return to the Parent Portal.) Your personal MyDashboard is a one-stop management tool that helps you organize and customize information on MyLatin using the Activity Stream and Daily Calendar. Your personal MyDashboard is an aggregate of the Bulletins, Resources, Calendar events and other communications that are posted in each of your and your child(ren)’s Group Spaces. The MyDashboard is identified by an orange banner.
GROUP SPACES Each academic class, athletic team, organization, and Class of 20XX is a Group and has its own Group Space on MyLatin. Each Group Space is identified by a blue banner. You may access an individual Group Space from the gray tabs on your MyDashboard OR from your Account Bar on the Parent Portal. Charlotte Latin provides access to your group spaces as an administrative function.
ACTIVITY STREAM Your Activity Stream lets you select how you will view information from your and your child(ren)’s Groups. You may change the Activity Stream view by the name of the person (you or each of your children) by using the pull-down menu under “Me” at the top of the Activity Stream. You may also sort by the type of posting. Each posting is date stamped. Click the “Apply” button each time you change your Activity Stream view.
CARPE DIEM MASTER CALENDAR AND MYDASHBOARD DAILY CALENDAR From the Parent Portal, click the “Carpe Diem” Master Calendar link to access all of Charlotte Latin’s calendars. (The Carpe Diem Master Calendar is identified by an orange banner.) Check the box to the left of each sub-calendar that you wish to view. You may change your sub-calendar selections as frequently as you like. You also may change Carpe Diem’s time period (day, week, month) and the format. The “Calendar Tools” tab provides calendar export options and alert options. The Carpe Diem sub-calendars you check will “feed” into your personal MyDashboard Daily Calendar, which is located to the right of your Activity Stream. NOTE: Each Group has a unique Group Calendar, which is a “subcalendar” in the Carpe Diem Master Calendar. NOTE: The “Calendar” tab in your personal MyDashboard links to the Carpe Diem Master Calendar (orange banner). The “Calendar” tab in an individual Group links to that Group’s unique Group Calendar (blue banner). NOTE: Athletic teams’ game schedules are available from the Carpe Diem Master Calendar and also at www.charlottelatin.org/Athletics
