Lesson Plan Guide Book: ​Mouse Shapes Time: 75 minutes

Warmup: - go around the circle and list different shapes (5-10 minutes) - show shapes on the screen for kids to name (10 minutes) Goal/Objective: Students will be able to: ● name different shapes (circle, square, rectangle, triangle, diamond, oval) ● understand how shapes come together to form real life objects Materials Needed: - computer to play shapes song and show book - building blocks Strategies: - Read story in groups (10 minutes) - Review vocabulary and shapes (20 minutes) - Listen and dance to the ​Shape Song​ (10 minutes) - Give them building blocks and tell them to build various structures (i.e. “build a house with a triangle and a square”) (20 minutes) Teacher Prompts
