METROPOLITIAN O2
Project Type: Commercial
The 6125-6185 Boul. Metropolitan project is a commercial renovation located in the eastern part of Montreal. The project encompasses approximately 60,000 sq. ft., with two existing two story buildings on the site. The front of the buildings currently serves as office space, showroom, while the back functions as a warehouse. The scope of the project requires a comprehensive renovation of both the interior and exterior, in accordance with the client's requirements. The existing facade will be updated using Alucobond material to provide a cost effective and durable solution. In addition, the interior layout will be reconfigured to accommodate two, two-story showrooms in the front of the buildings. The primary challenge of the renovation is to connect the two separate buildings into a single, cohesive structure. This will be achieved through the construction of a bridge that spans the gap between the two buildings, creating a seamless passageway between them. In summary, the 6125-6185 Boul. Metropolitan renovation project is an exciting and challenging endeavor that requires a comprehensive approach to both the interior and exterior elements. With careful planning and execution, the project will result in a modern, functional, and visually appealing commercial space that meets the client's needs and exceeds their expectations.

BISHOP O3
Project Type: Residential
The Rue Bishop Street project is an exciting endeavor to transform a historic building in downtown Montreal into a modern and sophisticated space. However, it presents a unique set of challenges that the architectural team must overcome to ensure a successful outcome. The existing three-story Victoria-style stone building's narrow dimensions (91 feet long and 24 feet wide) and orientation facing west and north, with two-party walls on the south and north sides, pose restrictions on window placement and natural light. Additionally, the surrounding high-rise buildings limit natural light, except on the south side. The team's innovative approach to address these challenges is what sets this project apart. They plan to add a two-story house on top of the existing building, complete with a swimming pool and jacuzzi, while ensuring structural integrity and meeting safety standards. Alternative solutions, such as skylights or light wells, will be considered to address the building's lack of natural light. Furthermore, the team must work within the building's narrow dimensions to create a functional and visually appealing design that meets the client's requirements. The new addition must integrate seamlessly with the existing building and form a cohesive and functional space.

MATTE O4
Project Type: Commercial
Project Overview:
Located on the south shore of Montreal, this project encompasses over 10,000 square feet and consists of a twofloor building. The front of the building serves as an office area, while the back functions as a warehouse.
Client Requirements:
The client has requested the addition of an exhibition space for furniture in front of the building, alongside the renovation of the existing office area.
Design Concept:
To meet the client's requirements, our design team has created a concept that utilizes a curved line curtain wall inspired by ocean waves. This facade will serve to attract new customers and allow natural light to permeate the exhibition room and interior showroom area from various angles. We have made the space entirely open with a 20-foot clear height, providing an ideal environment to display furniture during both daytime and nighttime hours. The result will be an exceptional shopping experience for visitors. In summary, this project involves the addition of an exhibition space and renovation of the existing office area, all while incorporating a striking design inspired by ocean waves. The result will be a welcoming and visually captivating environment that will attract new customers and display furniture in the best possible light.

WATER LILY O5
Project Type: Educational
The Water Lily middle school project in Red Hood Brooklyn aims to create a learning environment that incorporates nature, fostering love and enjoyment of the natural world for children. The project draws inspiration from the Mexican water lily and bird bone structure, which inform the roof and facade structures respectively. The 11-building project is designed with each grade having three buildings featuring three classrooms and a staircase on each floor, providing independent space and green gardens for each classroom. Elevated 12 feet from the ground, the project is protected from potential flooding, while the underneath space is utilized to grow plants, blending the building into its natural surroundings. The project also includes a retaining water area for the building's market part, which is open to the public. Precast concrete with holes is used for the facade structure, allowing plants to grow on top, creating a lively green building. Overall, the Water Lily middle school project is a unique and innovative design that combines nature and education to create a harmonious and engaging learning environment for children.

GARDEN BENEATH GROUND
Project Type: Residential & Exhibitional
The "Garden beneath Ground" project aims to transform a historical two-story house located on Governor Island into an artist house and exhibition center for the public. The project's design focuses on the relationship between the ground and the existing site, bringing nature into the basement of the building and treating it as an outside open area within the space. This creates a new ground level that could serve as an art exhibition space connected to nature. The project's main objective is to research how to build within the natural environment and treat nature and building systems as an entire system rather than separate entities. Additionally, the project aims to discover future green architecture system development possibilities. Overall, the "Garden beneath Ground" project is an innovative exploration of how to create a harmonious relationship between architecture and the natural environment, paving the way for future sustainable architectural design.

FLOWER O7
Project Type: Conceptual
The "Flower" project is an innovative exploration of design themes using basic triangular forms. Inspired by butterflies and flowers, the project combines varied sizes of triangles in multiple ways to create unique and visually appealing designs. The use of triangles to outline the shape of the flowers adds an additional layer of creativity to the project. It is divided into three sections - the resin and acrylic painting substrate representing the flower, the vertical triangle inspired by Mexican butterflies, and the backdrop that serves as the project's stage. Using 2D lines and the same language to construct the stage, the project creates a captivating visual experience that immerses viewers in a triangle universe. Overall, the "Flower" project showcases the versatility of basic triangular forms in design, making it a creative and engaging endeavor with the potential to captivate its viewers.

MUSIC O8
Project Type: Conceptual
Project Music is an interior chunk model project that draws inspiration from music to create a space that exudes freedom, elegance, and classicism. The design process consists of two parts: first, designing the existing building to achieve the desired atmosphere, and second, incorporating Japanese paper-cutting art to add unique visual elements to the chunk model. This innovative project explores the intersection of music and architecture, with the potential to create a memorable interior space.

ARCTIC NEON O9
Project Type: Conceptual
The design process for the Arctic Neon project began with the combination of two mechanical pieces, which were then explored in different shapes. From there, the project used a subtractive design approach to remove less important pieces and retain the most essential parts to create the final object. Inspired by the Arctic iceberg, the project incorporates distinct colors to represent the different temperatures of ice. These colors add a unique and visually appealing element to the architectural model, further emphasizing the design concept. Overall, the combination of the subtractive design approach and the use of distinct colors based on the varying temperatures of ice make the Arctic Neon project an innovative and exciting endeavor
