Maxcy 103 and 105 Make Way for Revolutionary Media Center

Obama Supporters Rally and Enjoy Music at Joel/Springsteen Concert

NEW YORK—A s I entered the Hammerstein Ballroom in Manhattan last Thursday evening, Oct. 16, I could feel the excitement coming from every person waiting to see two of the country’s biggest rock stars, and hopefully hear a speech from arguably the greatest orator of our generation. I was attending Billy Joel and Bruce Springsteen’s joint concert, which would be the last big fundraising

rendition of U2’s “Pride.” He was then joined by Arie for a few duets, as well as Bruce himself, along with his wife Patty for one song. The mood was set and the night only got better from there. Springsteen played a couple of songs solo, followed by Billy Joel who was eager to introduce Michelle Obama, who was seated on one of the side balconies. Bruce soon returned to the stage, and the two of them would remain there, alternating playing each other’s hits together,
