Being inspired by my mother, knitting has always been a significant part of my life. Starting at a young age, I found joy in creating my own knitted pieces by following patterns that required great focus and detail. As I grew older, I learned to draw inspiration from various sources, including magazines, social media, and people I see on the street, which I could then freely translate into my own designs. I moreover began to appreciate the therapeutic effect of handcrafting and the opportunity to slow down and disconnect.
With sustainability becoming an essential value in my life, I started using leftover wool, dyeing my own yarn with natural products, and turning old t-shirts into yarn to create more environmentally conscious pieces. The fact that each piece is hand-made adds to its value and makes it a timeless addition to my wardrobe.
Knitting has become more than just a hobby, but is a way for me to express myself creatively while aligning with my values of sustainability and freedom.

With a focus on Sustainable Development Goal 14, this short animation aims at explaining the complex issue of overfishing and bycatch while providing possible solutions in a simple and accessible manner. My role comprised conducting background research on the topic, creating an engaging and logical storyline, and putting the project into practice by illustrating the components and recording the voiceover.
Led by the Design Principles of Scott McCloud, I created this short comic that illustrates the encounter between an astronaut and an alien.
As an Honours student, I had the opportunity to participate in a project to raise funds for The Breakfast Club, a charity that provides support to children in Kenya. By designing and selling Christmas cards, our team was able to raise an incredible amount of over 2800€. I took charge of designing the cards and played a crucial role in planning, executing, and selling them. It was a great experience to use my creative skills for a good cause and make a meaningful impact.
