OUR CHAMPION PROFILE Even after his diagnosis in June 2019, Nick didn’t let cancer stop him from staying active and taking bike rides through the community. He is now a LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA participant, and he’s been beating cancer ever since. “I was getting more and more tired as the months went by, and I knew something was not right. In April my kidneys were 100%, by June the proteins were eating away at them. In April this year I heard about LIVESTRONG at the YMCA on the radio. I like to stay active, I’m a go-getter. I like LIVESTRONG at the YMCA for the structure, the discipline, and the organization.”
