Think First Non-Profit . Organization

Think First was established April 2016, in a vision I had about how thinking first could make a difference in anybody’s life. I was in a situation that if I didn’t think first, I wouldn’t be here today to write this article. So, I said to myself, and GOD lets create a space where I can control the narrative and help change the world starting with these two powerful words “THINK FIRST”. That was the beginning of THINK FIRST non-profit organization. The first event we had was the “Back to School Shoes and Uniform give away” for families in need. What makes THINK FIRST unique is the community provides most of the help. We're the catalyst that proved that if everyone does a little, no one has to do a lot. We also Have an annual event where we give back to the community for all their help throughout the year. At this event we have free food, music, local entertainers, and motivational speakers. Other events we have are “Health, Spades, Wellness and Dominos”, and our Christmas event which is my personal favorite “Giving Bike to the community” for families in need. One of the things that Jackstone wanted to do was start a “ Suicide Awarness” program due to the passing of her son my nephew Deasean King AKA Fatdaddy. This is a program that THINK FIRST will start soon in memory of both Jackstone and Fatdaddy. My sister was such an impacful part of THINK FIRST it has been hard without her. One of the most imporat things that we taught each other was: “Turn Pain into purpose” We appreciate everyone who has supported us and who will support and continue to support us in all our endeavers. Don’t forget your actions are permanent THINK FIRST.

We lost a very important part of our organization and our lives on 3/17/21. One of our honorary members and my sister; may her soul rest in peace Jacquetta Brannon AKA Jackstone.. Her legacy, her smile, her energy and her passion will for ever live on through this organization.
