Getting to Know the CHAMBER BOARD

Kelly served in the United States Marine Corps before opening her own construction Business sub-contracting for Lowes Home Improvement from 20012009. In 2010 Kelly was hired at Ascend Performance Material chemical company as an Operations Technician. After being with Ascend for 5.5 years, Kelly then went to Exxon Mobil where she also worked in operations for the next two years. Kelly joined the Air Products & Chemicals team in 2018. She has held several roles in management at different facilities in the southern states before relocating to Chandler in October 2022. Kelly has a BS degree in Computer Information Systems. Kelly’s hobbies are golf and fishing.

Monica is an Arizona native, and a first year graduate in her family. Monica attended Northern Arizona University where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree. In 2018, she received her Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. Monica’s designations include LEED Green Associate, RPA, just to name a few. Monica specializes in Commercial Property Management, optimizing operations, & financials. She sits on the boards for Ozanam Manor, BOMA, Downtown Partnership and Herberger, as well as the Chandler Chamber of Commerce Board. Monica joined the Macerich team full time as the General Manager in April of 2023. She enjoys making the impossible jobs very possible.

Dr. Peterson serves as President of Chandler-Gilbert Community College. He has presented at the White House for both the President’s Domestic Policy Council and the U.S. Department of Education. He serves on governing boards for the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities, local boards, and the American Association of Community Colleges’ Commission on Workforce and Economic Development. He holds a doctorate from the University of Texas, a master’s from Portland State University, an MBA from Kaplan University, and a bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University. Recently he was selected as part of the first cohort of the Aspen New President Fellowship and teaches graduatelevel courses for Kansas State University.

My success in creating strong customer relationships is a product of years of experience in marketing, communications and public relations in a variety of industries. I have a passion for building community awareness around underserved populations such as veteran’s with invisible disabilities, children awaiting adoption, and dogs who deserve the opportunity to learn how to be good canine citizens. I have used my skills and leadership opportunities to grow my business, help other businesses to grow and help the community around me.
