2021 has been a memorable year as we adjust to our “new normal.” While we still faced unusual challenges, the Chandler Chamber was innovative and resilient, driving to keep the Chandler business community on solid footing. We learned to think differently and that out-of-the box initiative will continue to drive us into 2022. In 2021, the Chandler Chamber continued to implement numerous programs and services to cultivate and solidify our relationship with not only our members, but all businesses in Chandler as we work together during the pandemic. We have gained knowledge, we have changed in the face of adversity, and we have gained the tools and the means to make 2022 a positive journey. The events of the past few years have demonstrated that the diverse challenges we faced as a nation are truly complex and require an effort to ensure that every person realizes the opportunity for justice. The Chandler Chamber stands behind our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion series to bring us all together, sharing and educating so that we may understand and appreciate each other. Our goal for 2022 is to keep pursuing recovery for our region, focus on our mission of providing unparalleled support for our businesses and to strengthen our community – now and in the future.

Tutor Doctor receives Marketing Innovation Award
From Ahwatukee Foothills News | AAFN News Staff Nov 30, 2021 There’s a reason that Kimberly Selchan gravitated to the Tutor Doctor franchise that serves the East Valley and Ahwatukee after working in the corporate sector for many years. “I came from a corporate environment where I had mentors and was a mentor to others,” the former Ahwatukee resident explained. “I consider our service to be mentorship, far more than just subject tutoring or homework support. The mission statement I use for my region is: Helping today’s youth become tomorrow’s successful adults.” Selchan, who now lives in Gilbert, not only is good at her job – she’s been good for Tutor Doctor, which gave her their Marketing Innovation Award for finding new ways to grow her business year-over-year. Her region includes Ahwatukee and the entire East Valley and people who want to sign as mentors need at least some college with a 3.0 average and some mentoring experience. Potential clients or tutors can reach her at tutordoctor.com/chandlergilbert or call 480-530-8029. 14
