Aysha Bell, MA, has been dedicated to helping individuals in the areas of professional, personal, and spiritual development since high school and college where she frequently presented workshops on networking, conflict resolution, leadership and more for clubs and organizations.

Throughout her life, Aysha has personally coached and facilitated workshops for more than 5,000 individuals (youth and adults) and is passionate about educating, motivating, and encouraging others to be their best selves.

Aysha’s career has spanned the social services, recruiting/ talent acquisition, government, and higher education industries. Currently, she works at Grand Canyon University (GCU) where she is the Executive Director of Career Services and oversees employer relations with the university, professional development and other initiatives supporting the post-graduation success of GCU students.

Jared

Jared is the Chief Executive Officer of Foundation for Blind Children, an organization serving individuals of all ages throughout the state of Arizona.

He was appointed as the eighth leader in the organization’s 72-year history and officially took on the role in July of 2024. Foundation for Blind Children serves over 2,000 individuals a year and is home to the largest braille library in the country.

Jared has been with FBC since 2017, beginning as the Director of Education Services and serving as Chief Operations Officer starting in 2021. One of his proudest moments at FBC was when he was part of a 9-day, 8-night trip with 12 teens and young adults on the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon. In addition to his role at FBC, Jared is a member of the 2019 Allstate Foundation Nonprofit Executive Leadership Program through the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a 2022 Fellow with the Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust.

Dr. Dontá McGilvery

Honors Faculty, Arizona State University

Dr. Dontá McGilvery is a scholarpractitioner, ordained pastor, and nationally recognized transformational leader. He holds the distinction of being the first Black male to earn a Ph.D. in Theatre from Arizona State University. His research and communitybased practice operate at the critical intersection of higher education, the Black church, and local communities.

Dr. McGilvery’s work integrates applied theatre methodologies with liberation theology to amplify the voices of historically marginalized populations. He currently serves as the Coordinator for Graduate Student Experience in ASU’s Graduate College and is an Honors Faculty Fellow at Barrett, The Honors College.

Dr. McGilvery has received numerous honors for his impact and leadership, including national recognition from the National Football League (NFL) during Super Bowl LVII in 2023 for his advocacy in education and support for underrepresented communities. In 2022, the Greater Phoenix Urban League Young Professionals recognized him as a Young Leader to Watch.
