Ambassador Committee

Chamber Acknowledges the Ambassadors of the Month

June

Sue Jones Bright Ideas Marketing & Promotions, Inc.

August

It has been my privilege and an honor to serve the Chamber of the Palm Beaches as an Ambassador. January 2009 started my role as an ambassador, and needless to say my time has been spent wisely. I have had countless opportunities to network and connect with an extraordinary amount of local companies and chamber members. Attending events is always the most effective way to meet with many friendly faces and exceptional people. The Chamber of the Palm Beaches is truly the “best of the best” of the area chambers!

Being a member of the Ambassador Committee of the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches has allowed me to build relationships and increase support for my non-profit, Seagull Industries for the Disabled, Inc. The Chamber is a dynamic organization, offering many and varied opportunities to meet a range of business Anne Dichele wide people. Seagull is proud Seagull Industries to be their 2010 Nonfor the Disabled, Inc. Profit of the Year, and I am proud to represent the Chamber as an Ambassador.

July “Upon joining the chamber a few years ago, it has enhanced our business by establishing relationships in many business fields. The chamber offers many networking events, while promoting teamwork though-out the year.”

Michael Falzer Aquatron, Inc.

September

David Staples Connections for Business

The Chamber of the Palm Beaches is a dynamic organization that has allowed me to connect with Business Individuals in and around the Palm Beach Community. As a representative of Connections for Business, we pride ourselves on being an IT resource for the community, which in a way defines the word ambassador. I have seen the value of learning about each business from the many different kinds of events the Chamber has. We can all add value to each other when we sit down and see where it is. It may simply be, to be an encouragement.

Chamber Participation Builds Leadership When most of us think of the most important benefit of membership in the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches, we think of the networking and opportunities to grow our businesses and contact sphere. The Chamber also functions as a conduit for building leadership qualities in our business community and bringing together leaders and business needs. The Chamber offers its members many avenues to attain new leadership skills, implement their knowledge in our business community and have a positive impact on our local economy and quality of life. • Through seminars, workshops and special programs, the Chamber presents information for personal and professional growth and promotes successful and ethical business relationships. • Committee involvement allows Chamber members to contribute to the success of healthcare and hospitality industries and to be a voice for business development and ethical business practices. • With its Business Awards, the Chamber recognizes and rewards business and community local leaders who stand out as examples of excellence and achievement. The Athena Award recognizes companies and individuals that promote women in business and contribute to their success. • Each year, Leadership West Palm Beach forms a class of individuals interested in cultivating skills to develop programs that enrich and strengthen the fabric of our community. They are given insight into the infrastructure of our communities and the necessary merging of talent, resources and vision that ensure our continued growth. Each class graduates with an improved understanding of the needs of our unique business climate and the community that supports it.

• Area young professionals enjoy leadership opportunities through the Chamber Young Professionals of the Palm Beaches (YPOP). When you consider your company’s or your personal participation in the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches, please remember to include leadership development in your list of priorities. Whether you are cultivating professional development through seminar attendance, providing access to important programs through sponsorships or recognizing the accomplishments of a client, contact or co-worker through an awards nomination, you are supporting the growth of excellence of our leaders. Please join the Chamber as we accept the challenge to supply our communities with the business leaders needed to sustain and enhance our quality of life in Palm Beach County. “Being part of the 2010 West Palm Beach Leadership class was an overwhelming erudition of all that our community has to offer. I had the opportunity to meet the people who genuinely care about our community’s future. The historic background was impressive and I truly have a new heart felt appreciation for West Palm Beach. I have a new network of professionals from many different industries. I now have resources to assist my organization with doing its part in serving the community as well as to help West Palm Beach develop as the destination of choice for future businesses.
