DESIGN THAT FIT ITSELF INTO THE EXISTING NATURAL PATTERNS HUMAN NATURE
In this modern world, more often than not, people see themselves as an entity that is separated from nature Peoplesee themselves and nature as parallel lines. They exist together but never once connectwithoneanother
To remind people of where they come from, the design tries to disturb these lines that separate both. As an Ecological design is a design that can ‘teach’, let’s represent it by combining both lines that represent people and nature and show people that if they treat nature well, it will provide even better greatnessforthem.
ABRASION RESISTANT sTRUCTURE
Each ‘line’ will function to provide a different function The ‘line’ that represent human will accommodate the facility of the visitor center and The ‘line’ that represents nature will facilitate conservation activities Both of the masses mentioned will circle a landscape that will be used as the sea turtle conservation to show the correlation between people and nature canbebeneficialforthegreatergood.
The building will use a stilt foundation as its structure. This is chosen to minimize the building footprint and allow the ground to still function as drainage. Additionally, it also will allow the water and windflowtobelessdisturbed.
On the South part facing the shoreline, there also will be sand dunes that are held by retaining
walls to function as a water breaker in case of high tides. These sand dunes also function to protect the rearing area, as well as preserve the natural view on theshorelinefortheseaturtle.
